- Chandigarh, Sept 9 - In a major breakthrough, Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police today arrested three most-wanted gangsters involved in murder, attempt and decoity after a brief encounter from district Rohtak.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that arrested gangsters have been identified as Parveen alias Sonu and Sunny, both resident of village Bhadana, district Sonipat and Pankaj, a native of Mayur vihar in Sonipat. All three gangsters have been absconding from the year 2016-17. Parveen alias Sonu carries a reward of Rs 50,000 whereas, a bounty of Rs 5,000 was announced on Sunny. They along with another accused Pankaj, have been allegedly involved in murder of Sarpanch’s son in year 2016, loot of Rs1.5 crore from Nikki jewelers near Chokhi Dani, GT Road, Gannaur and firing gun shots on a liquor contractor and Sarpanch’s Ved in village Bhadana.
- He said that STF team got secret information that all three gangsters were roaming near IMT chowk, Rothay, with an intention to loot a vehicle. Acting swiftly, STF sleuths nabbed all accused from kheri sadh bypass near IMT chowk.
- The accused Sunny had came on parole from Rohtak jail on August 23, 2017 and absconding since then. The accused Parveen alias Sonu is proclaimed offender in another case. Both Sunny and Parveen has been main accused in the Sonepat jail break case. All accused will be taken on remand by producing them in the court so that their involvement in other cases could be unearthed.
- The Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu congratulated the DIG, STF Mr Sateesh Balan and his entire team for their significant achievement to nab the gangsters.
