- Chandigarh, Oct 29 ; Haryana Transport Department has appealed to the employees on strike to immediately join their duties as the people are facing a lot of inconvenience during the festival season due to non-availability of convenient bus service.
- The kilometre scheme is not privatization, but to add more buses in the fleet of Haryana Roadways by hiring.
- This scheme would not have any adverse affect on any employee of the Department.
- Under this scheme, the conductor would be of the Department who would issue tickets to the passengers and the revenue thus collected would be deposited to the state exchequer only.
- The buses plying under this scheme would have permit of Haryana Roadways and the timetable and route would also be decided by the Department only.
- The implementation of this scheme would increase transport service which would be in the interest of passengers and the State Government.
- Under this scheme, the driver would be of the bus owner and the salary, maintenance, insurance and GST tax would be borne by the transporter.
- Under the scheme, the expenses of diesel would be borne by the bus owner.
- Under this scheme, the average expenses of the Department would be Rs 31-37 per kilometre whereas the expenses of the State Roadways bus are Rs 45-49 per kilometre.
- The design and colour scheme of these buses would be similar to the Haryana Roadways buses.
- The buses plying under this scheme would continue to provide concessional and free travel facility to 40 different categories on the pattern of State Roadways. The fare would be as per the rates of Haryana Roadways.
- Chandigarh, October 29 - With a view to commemorate Haryana Day, the Haryana Urdu Academy and Haryana Sahitya Akademi Panchkula will organise a Mushaira at Haryana Akademi Bhawan, Panchkula on October 30, 2018, at 11 a.m.

- Chandigarh, Oct 29 ; A delegation from Bihar will visit Haryana for a two-day visit on October 30, 2018 to study the works undertaken by the Haryana Government under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme in the state.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Skill Development and Industrial Training Department said that Director, Employment and Training Department, Bihar Mr. Dharmendra Singh has informed the Director General, Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Department about the visit of the delegation from Bihar.
- He said that the works undertaken by the Haryana Government have been appreciated by other states as well. As a result of which, other states have been visiting Haryana to gather information of works undertaken by the Haryana Government.
- It may be recalled that Haryana was conferred with the ‘Champion of Change’ Award under the category of Best State for engaging maximum apprentices per lakh of population, in November 2017.
- The spokesman said that the State government has taken various steps to enhance and promote the entrepreneurship training in the state. These included posting of a Deputy Director exclusively for implementing the Apprenticeship Training Scheme, organizing the manpower in field institutes which could be utilised for the implementation of the scheme and allotting monthly targets for establishment and preparation of database of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and large establishments.
- He said that a District Apprenticeship Committee, under the chairmanship of respective Deputy Commissioners, including senior officers of various offices and prominent industry associations as its members was also constituted for monitoring the progress. He said that workshops were organised at big level by inviting private industries and departments of the state government and public enterprises. Apart from this, people were also made aware about this scheme in public functions, he added.
- Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister, Mr Vipul Goel said that the State has made significant progress under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in the State by increasing the number of registered establishments to 10,601 and number of apprentices to 47,815.;He said that provision of budget amounting to Rs 141 crore has been made for stipend. Apprenticeship has so far provided to 18,500 youth in different government departments. The State Government is committed towards implementing the Apprenticeship Training Programme in every eligible organisation, he added.
- Chandigarh October 29: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today directed that the youths registered under the ‘Saksham Yuva Scheme’ be given preference while enrolling for the skill training and providing placement under the Haryana Urban Livelihood Mission. After the post graduate and science and equivalent graduates, the government is soon going to add more streams under the ambit of the Saksham Yuva Scheme, he added.
- Mr Manohar Lal was presiding over the first meeting of Governing Council of State Urban Livelihood Mission, Haryana here today. Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Health Minister Mr Anil Vij, Urban Local Bodies Minister Mrs Kavita Jain and Minister of State for Labour and Employment Mr Nayab Singh Saini were also present in the meeting.
- It was informed in the meeting that 18 agencies imparting skill training have been empanelled and allocated target to train 15,000 candidates. The agencies are providing training in 93 training centres. In the current financial year upto October 15, 2018, 3430 candidates have been trained and 7440 candidates are under training.
- It was also informed that 11,543 urban homeless families constituting 19015 Urban Homeless Population have been identified in the latest survey conducted through a survey agency. Apart from the 103 existing temporary or permanent night shelters, 32 porta-cabin shelters have been installed in nine towns whereas, 30 sites have been identified for the construction of prefabricated shelters. In addition, 127 Shelter Management Committees have been constituted.An amount of Rs 217.28 lakh has been released for refurbishment of 24 shelters.
- It was informed that as against the target of 4750, 6510 Self Help Groups (SHGs) has been formed. The bank accounts of 3591 SHGs have been opened and accounts of the remaining SHGs would be opened in next two months as banks have given assurance in this regard. The Chief Minister directed to make arrangement of providing loan under DRI scheme to people belonging to low income group for setting up their own ventures.
- It was informed that under the scheme for urban street vendors, over one lakh street vendors have been identified in a survey conducted in all the 80 Urban Local Bodies in the State. It was also informed that Town Vending Committees have been constituted in 75 Urban Local Bodies. The draft street vending plans have been submitted to 43 Urban Local Bodies.

- Chandigarh, Oct 29 Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that with a view to restart the traditional cloth weaving industry of Dhanak Samaj, cloth weaving course would be started in Skill University and training would be imparted to youth to make them employable and set up their own ventures.
- The Chief Minister made this announcement while interacting with representatives of Dhanak Samaj, who called on him, here today.
- Mr. Manohar Lal said that a committee should be constituted to explore the possibilities of setting up the traditional work of cloth weaving by imparting training to youth with the use of machinery. He suggested the representatives to prepare a proposal in this regard and send it to the government.
- He said that 11 hostels were being established in 11 districts of the state for students belonging to Scheduled Castes category. In these hostels, 50 per cent seats would be reserved for students belonging to Scheduled Castes category and 50 per cent would be for students belonging to other categories. This would generate feeling of social harmony and unity among students, he added.
- He said that the State Government has implemented several welfare oriented schemes for the people. For making people aware of such schemes, the State Government has opened Antyodaya Sewa Kendras in seven districts where information regarding all welfare schemes was being provided to people under one roof. He suggested the representatives to organise one function each at these Antyodaya Sewa Kendras so that people would become aware of these kendras.
- Mr. Manohar Lal said, “Enjoying luxuries is not our work, but we have created a new form of politics by combining the governance with spirit of serice”. The well to do persons of the society should come forward and help the help the needy persons. The representatives gave their suggestions to the Chief Minister and requested to given status of Category-A to Dhanak Samaj.
- The Chief Minister inquired the representatives whether they have been availing the benefits of welfare schemes or not. The representatives replied that they have been availing benefits of all schemes. He said, “If they face any problem then they could inform him in writing. All their issues would be got resolved”. The Chief Minister also announced to give financial assistance of Rs two lakh each to about 40 registered organisations working for the welfare of Dhanak Samaj.
- The representatives of Dhanak Samaj expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for inviting them. The representatives said that this was for the first time that a Chief Minister has invited them, listened to their grievances and took their suggestions which clearly signify the vision of ‘Sakba Sath Sabka Vikas’ of the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal.

- Chandigarh October 29: Buoyed with the success of purchase of Bajra through the e-procurement system at Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 1950 per quintal and payment to farmers directly into their bank accounts, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded his approval for using the same system for the procurement of moong and potato. While the procurement of moong would commence next month, the procurement of potato would start in the month of February.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that about 1.51 lakh Metric Tons of Bajra has so far been procured by the procurement agencies in the State at MSP of Rs 1950 per quintal.
- He said that Hafed would purchase 25 per cent of the produce of moong under Price Support ;Scheme (PSS) in the State for which Minimum Support Price (MSP) has been fixed at Rs 6900 per quintal. In order to ensure that actual farmers gets MSP and there is no trading of moong, the payment would be made to farmers directly in their bank accounts. He said that for this, all the moong growing farmers have been asked to register themselves on Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal, the e-Kharid portal. The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has been asked to complete the registration process of farmers within a period two days, he added.
- The spokesman said that Hafed would engage the services of Saksham Yuva in this work. They would be stationed in the mandis at the time of bidding alongside the arthiyas and procurement agencies. They would automatically generate Form J on the spot by filling up the purchase details, bid price, estimated weight and would also ensure 75 per cent payment of the purchased moong through automatically generated I Forms on the sport directly into the accounts of farmers. The balance payment would be made after measurement by procurement agencies, he further added.

- Chandigarh, Oct 29 ; Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that an immunization campaign would be orgnaised on November 22, 2018 and December 22, 2018 in district Rewari, for complete immunization of children, so that 90 per cent of children are immunized in district Rewari by December, this year.
- In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Managing Director, National Health Mission, Haryana, Mrs. Amneet P. Kumar, here today.
- During the meeting, directions were issued to the concerned officers to appropriate steps, for the success of the immunisation campaign. The campaign would be organised in three phases that is October 22, November 22 and December 22, 2018. Its first phase has already been completed successfully on October 22, 2018, in which the department had achieved 18 per cent more than the fixed target, for the immunisation of children and pregnant women
- The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had released a list of 75 districts of the country, having immunisation coverage less than 50 per cent. That list included only Rewari district of Haryana, which special immunisation campaign was required Under the Mission Inderdhanush, for the success of this campaign, responsibilities had been allocated to different departments. Under which special attention would be given to children and pregnant women living in brick kilns, remote areas and slum areas.
- Chandigarh, October 29 ; Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has recommended departmental action against nine Gazzetted Officers and 14 Non-Gazetted Officers in eight inquiries, besides criminal case against a Gazzetted Officer and a Non-Gazetted Officer in an inquiry, in the month of August.
- While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that the Bureau has caught seven officers and officials red-handed while accepting illegal gratifications ranging from Rs. 1,700 to Rs. 40,000. Cases have been registered against them under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
- Sanjay Singh, Clerk in the office of District Education Officer, Hisar, was caught red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 40,000 while Sub Inspector Pardeep Kumar in the office of Assistant Registrar, Co-operative Society, Sonipat has been caught taking bribe of Rs 30,000.
- Assistant Sub Inspector, Narender Singh, Incharge and Samay Singh, Special Police Officer, Police Post Alawalpur, Police Station, Chandhut, District Palwal were caught while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000.
- In other separate case, Suresh Kumar, Assistant Treasury Officer, Treasury and Accounts Department, Tehsil Matanhail, District Jhajjar was caught taking bribe of Rs 2,000. Jagbir, Reader and Deepak, Computer Operator, in the office of District Revenue Officer, Panipat were caught taking bribe of Rs 1,700.
- Chandigarh, October 29 ; Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught red-handed a Head Constable, Vinod Kumar of Narnaul while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 8,000 from Rati Ram of Narnaul in lieu of taking out his name from the case registered against him in Police Station Sadar Narnaul.
- While giving this information, a spokesman of the bureau said that a case has been registered against him under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act at Bureau’s police station at Gurugram.
- In another case, Head Constable, Nayab Singh posted in Police Post No.2, Police Station Ambala City was caught red handed while taking bribe of Rs 2,000 from Rahul of Ambala City in lieu of arresting the remaining accused in a case registered in Police Station Ambala City. A case has been registered against him at Bureau’s Police Station at Ambala, he added.

- He said that besides academic courses, the University should also include skill development subjects so that the students get employment after completing the degree. He said that educational institutions should also focus on job-oriented courses besides quality education.
- He said that the university should lay emphasis on girl’s education to make the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, a success. The State Government has opened 29 colleges for girls in the last four years and tuition fee had been waived off for girls in government colleges and government aided colleges.
- He said that the state is at the top position in sports. Therefore, the universities and colleges should provide infrastructural facilities related to games for the students. The Governor also met with Mother Teresa Haryana Saket Council, Director, Dr R.S.Punia.

- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that with a view to foster and reinforce dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of nation, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) is being observed all over the country on October;31, 2018 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Haryana Government has also decided to pay befitting tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the 142nd ;birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi will dedicate this Statue of Unity to the country on October 31. He said that iron was collected from all over the country for the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat. This ‘Statue of Unity’, tallest statue in the world, measuring 182 meters has been constructed in 42 months.
- The spokesman said that ‘Run for Unity’ programme would be organised at all district headquarters. He said that celebration of the occasion annually helps youth of the country to be aware of and provides an opportunity to everyone to maintain the integral strength of the nation. In 2014, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was introduced by the Government of India to pay tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It makes Indian citizens to realize the importance of national integrity, he added.

- Chandigarh October 29: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, here today, presented cheques worth of about Rs 60 lakh as compensation to the family members of nine sewer personnel’s who lost their lives while cleaning sewer in different parts of the state.
- It is the present State Government which has identified causalities in work of sewer cleaning since 1993 till date and decided to pay compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the affected family. Total 19 such families has been identified from all over the State.
- Out of compensation of Rs 1.90 crore, compensation amounting to Rs 1.30 crores has already been paid in accounts of family members of the deceased, while the cheques of balance amount of about Rs 60 lakh were disbursed by Mr Manohar Lal here today.
- Mr Manohar Lal presented cheque of Rs 10 lakh as compensation to Mrs Shakuntla Devi resident of Hanuman Gate, Balmiki Basti Bhiwani, cheque of Rs 7,40,467 to Mr Hukam Chand of village Busana district Rohtak, cheque of Rs 7,42,000 to Mrs Krishna of village Moi Hooda district Sonipat, cheque of Rs 7,10,683 to Mrs Anita of village Ludana district Jind, cheque of Rs 3,17,262 to Mrs Santosh of village Kakroi district Sonipat, cheque of Rs 6,21,525 each to Mrs Nisha and Mrs Seema of village Asan Kalan and village Bahandri of district Panipat respectively and Mrs Suresh Rani and Mrs Suman both of village Nohra district Panipat.
- Mr Manohar Lal expressed his sympathy to the deceased family members and inquired about their family and source of livelihood. He said that directions had been issued to the Public Health Engineering Department to identify causalities in work of sewer cleaning throughout the State since 1993 so that compensation could be given to their family members.
- Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering Mr Rajiv Arora informed that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved an insurance scheme for the sewer personnel’s and the same has been sent for the approval of Finance Department. Apart from this, it has also been decided that the sewer personnel’s would also be covered under different schemes of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department.
- Mr Arora informed that the department has formulated and issued strict guidelines to the field functionaries that only trained persons be allowed to enter into sewer with all precautions and safety measures only in unavoidable circumstances. To train, all the regular, temporary and contractual staff, a special campaign through agencies having specialization in this field has been launched by the Department. Till date, 631 sewer personnel have been trained under 12 circles of Public Health Engineering Department, he added.
- Among those present on this occasion included Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Mr Sameer Pal Srow and Media Advisor to Chief Minister Mr Rajiv Jain.

- While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that the building was constructed by the Haryana Police Housing Corporation at a cost of Rs.2.70 crore. The construction work of two-storey building was completed with a period of one year.
