- Chandigarh, Nov 17- Haryana Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu said that process to recruit 7500 police personnel will begin in the month of December, this year. Apart from this, around 800 new vehicles would also be purchased for strengthening of policing. At the same time, location at KMP and KGP Expressways are being notified for opening of police stations and soon thereafter police stations will be set up.
- This was informed by DGP after inaugurating the newly constructed building of CIA Police Station in Palwal today. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Mr Wasim Akram was also present.
- The CIA Police Station, Palwal has been constructed by the Haryana Police Housing Corporation at a cost of Rs1.5 crore. The construction work of this building has been completed in a period of 16 months. Every kind of basic amenities has been provided in this police station. Built on 1.5 acres of land, the setting up of this police station will help in further improving the law and order in the area.
- Mr Sandhu said that keeping in view the shortage of staff, the recruitment of 7500 police personnel will be started from December. Out of 800 new vehicles to be purchased, 20 will be given to Palwal Police. The shortage of the police force in the district will be met after the completion of recruitment process.
- He said that maintaining law and order and providing security to women and girls in the state is the top priority of Police. Crime can be controlled by the active participation of social institutions and common people. People should come forward to overcome the rising crime against women and to eliminate social evils. Crime can be reduced with the help of police.
- Later on, the DGP also inaugurated Traffic Police Station at Mandi Khera in district Nuh. The new building was constructed at a cost of Rs161.71 lakh. Setting up of this police station would help in tackling the growing issue of traffic congestion in the district.
- Chandigarh, November 17 - With a view to celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in a befitting manner at State level for organising various activities relating to his life and teachings, the Haryana Government has decided to constitute a 97-member Organising Committee under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal.
- While stating this, here today, an official spokesman said that the Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Agriculture Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar, Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Manish Grover and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Bedi would be its members.

- Chandigarh, Nov 17 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the biggest footwear park of the world would be developed at Bahadugarh in district Jhajjar. As many as five acres land would be made available in this footwear park for setting up footwear skill development centre so that local people would be imparted training and made employable. This footwear park would be developed over 910 acres and 620 production plants would allocated in it.
- The Chief Minister made this announcement after inaugurating Skill Development and Quality Control Centre established under Footwear Development Institute at a cost of Rs 25 crore at Bahaudgarh Footwear Park in district Jhajjar today.
- On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to establish transport city on about 32 acres, industrial waste disposal centre on one acre and new commercial and industrial plots on 60 acres. He also announced to provide Super Sucker Machine to every city in the state under PPP mode to strengthen the sewerage system.
- He said that every year about 7,000 to 8,000 trainees would get training of footwear technique in Skill Development and Quality Control Centre and they would get employment in footwear industry.
- The Chief Minister said that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) play significant role in providing employment. Therefore, the State Government has been promoting MSME industries. With this view, the Micro and Small industrial units, which have electricity load less than 20 KW, would have have to pay only Rs 4.75 per unit and therefore such industries would be benefited with Rs 1.75 to Rs 2 per unit. Mr. Manohar Lal said that in terms of export, the state has bagged fifth position in the country. Similarly, in terms of per capita income, the state has been ranking first among big states. In 2014-15, the per capita income was 1.70 lakh which has now reached to Rs 2.41 lakh, he added.
- He said that the State Government is going to develop the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway as economic corridor. Under this, five smart cities would be developed on both sides of highway.
- Speaking on the occasion, Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel said that for the first time, the industrial policy has been prepared in the interests of the entrepreneurs after incorporating their suggestions. As a result of this policy, a target of investment was set at Rs one lakh crore during Happening Haryana Global Industrial Summit in 2016 against which MoUs of more than Rs three lakh crore were signed.
- Chandigarh, Nov 17– Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi will dedicate the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway to Haryana and address a huge public meeting at village Sultanpur in district Gurugram on November 19, 2018.
- The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons at Gharaunda in district Karnal today.
- He said that when KMP Expressway will be functional, there would be industrial and economic development in the area adjoining the expressway and Haryana would lead in education and IT sector. He said that Haryana has been topping the list of leading states of the country and the per capita income of Haryana has also been increasing continuously. Apart from industrial development, there is increase in export and it is all possible due to increasing infrastructure in the state.
- On being asked about employment opportunities, the Chief Minister said that today the landholding is reducing and the State Government is concerned over this issue. The industrial development in the state would also provide employment to children of farmers which would definitely increase their income.
- Chandigarh, Nov 17 – Haryana Government has decided that qualifying both the Part I (Knowledge Test) and Part ll (Typing Test) of the State Eligibility Test in Computer Appreciation and Applications (SETC) would be compulsory for all the currently working clerks and all those who want to work as clerk on promotion or by direct recruitment. It would be mandatory for all Clerks to qualify SETC within a period of six months, that is, by May 31, 2019.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the definition of clerk includes Clerk-cum-Computer Operator, Office Associate, clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator, Steno-Typist, Data Entry Operator and Clerk-cum-Typist.
- He said that the condition of passing the SETC would apply to all clerks, whether regular or contractual, appointed by any mode of recruitment, that is, whether appointed on regular basis or transfer basis or promotion basis or deputation or under Part ll of Outsourcing policy.
- In case, any clerk wishes to be exempted from SETC Part I (Computer Knowledge Test), they may acquire necessary Computer Knowledge Certification from the approved sources or authorized agencies such as HARTRON, HKCL or NlELlT. The expenditure incurred by the clerks in acquiring SETC Part I certification from authorized agencies or approved sources would be reimbursed by their parent department upon successfully acquiring the said certification. The reimbursement would be on actual or maximum Rs. 3,500 only. SETC Part ll, typing test, would be mandatory for all clerks. The typing test is being regularly conducted by HARTRON. The typing test is conducted both in English and Hindi. Employees must clear the typing test in any one language.
- No further increment or promotion (where applicable) will be allowed to the clerks without passing both the components of SETC. To provide legal framework for implementation of these instructions, the SETC Rules, 20l8 are being framed and would be issued shortly, he added.
- Chandigarh, Nov 17 – Haryana Government has decided that all the candidates recommended by the Haryana Public Service Commission and Haryana Staff Selection Commission till December 31, 2018 in respect of appointment to any post, can be appointed on provisional basis, without prior verification of their character and antecedents.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that their antecedents should, however, be got verified within a period of two months after their provisional appointment and this relaxation does not confer any right to a candidate to remain in job, if subsequently anything adverse is reported against him or her at later stage.
- This relaxation in the instructions would lapse automatically after December 31, 2018, he added.
