- Chandigarh, Sept 17- The Vice-Chancellor, Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra, Dr. Baldev Kumar said that under ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ programme, the university campus had been divided into 51 sectors to keep it clean and green. For proper supervision of each sector, 51 teams had been formed, which included one principal or senior officer, two employees and five to seven students.
- Dr Kumar said that on the call of cleanliness by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, Swachhta has become the mission in the country. Now, our children and young generation are working as brand ambassadors for this Swachhta mission.
- He said that the formed teams, would look after the work of sanitation and greenery in colleges, hospital, boys and girls hostel, university campus, road passage, sports ground and other places. The university administration would provide its all possible help so that all the teams could keep their respective areas completely clean, he added.
- He said that in ancient Ayurvedic System of Medicine, cleanliness was also called mandatory for good health. Thus, every individual must adopt cleanliness in their routine nature.
- The Principal, Shri Krishna Government Ayurvedic College, Mrs. Usha Dutt, said that every possible effort would be made to keep the campus of college, the best and cleanest campus in the district. On the occasion, Dr. Rajendra Chaudhary, Reader of the University administered oath of cleanliness to all professors, staff and students.
