  • Chandigarh, Jan 17 – Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Aryan said that in order to double the income of farmers in the state, new schemes should be implemented for development of livestock.
  • Mr. Arya was interacting with Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar  and senior officers of the Department after releasing booklet ‘Prakritik Pashu Chikitsa Padhti’ published by Haryana Pashu Chikitsak Parishad and Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, at Haryana Raj Bhawan, here today.
  • He said that Haryana is a state which has immense possibilities of livestock development. Keeping in view these possibilities, the Department has done commendable job in the field of cattle breed improvement and veterinary as a result of which Haryana is at number second position in terms of per capita milk availability. He said that about Rs 24.98 crore were being spent under Cattle and Buffalo Breeding and Dairy Development Programme which would improve the breeds of Sahiwal and Gir, and would double the income of farmers. Haryana is leading in the field of animal husbandry, therefore, special steps are being taken for veterinary, he added.
  • Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar   informed that Mobile Veterinary Unit Scheme is being launched in Haryana. Under this scheme, a team of doctors would reach the doorstep of people on a phone call to give treatment to sick cattle. This is a revolutionary step in the field of veterinary. He said that Rs 30 crore was being spent on Gaushalas in the state for protection of cows. Apart from this, solar systems were being installed in gaushalas at 90 per cent subsidy.
  • On this occasion, Mr. Dhankar presented Logo of the Department to the Governor.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 17 – The General Observer appointed for bye-elections to Jind Assembly Constituency, Mr. Saurabh Bhagat said that Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) Machines would be used at each polling centre to conduct the bye-elections in a fair, transparent and organized manner. Adequate number of security personnel would be deputed at polling centres to avoid any kind of interruption in polling process. Apart from this, Micro Observers would be appointed to keep an eye on each activity.
  • Mr. Bhagat was speaking during the pilot rehearsal program organised for election officers and officials at Jind today. The officials were imparted training for use of EVM and VVPAT machines so that the election process would be completed without any interruption.
  • He directed them to discharge their duties dedicatedly and added that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. He said that every assistance would be provided to officials for completion of bye-elections in a fair and transparent manner. The officials should perform their duty fearlessly, said Mr. Bhagat.
  • Deputy Commissioner and District Electoral Officer, Mr. Amit Khatri said that the District Administration has made almost all arrangements for conducting elections. He said that second rehearsal of employees on election duty would be conducted on January 24 and all employees concerned should attend it. The official would leave for their respective polling centres on January 27. On the same day, the officials would have to complete various works including setting up of polling centre. He directed the officials to stay at polling centres during night. They would not stay at house of any person in the village and would not receive anything. If they do something like that then it would be considered equivalent to taking bribe, he added.
  • Returning Officer, Jind Assembly Constituency, Mr. Virender Sehrawat provided all important information to officials for ensuring fair and transparent conduct of elections. He said that the election process should not be started without mock-poll and it should be completed one hour before start of polling. He said that the polling time would be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. He said that no political party or candidate would set up his promotion booth within 200 meter radius of polling centre.
  • As many as 210 Presiding Officers and 210 Assistant Presiding Officers participated in the rehearsal today. Apart from this, ten women officers and ten persons with disability have also been deputed on election duty. Separate booths would be set up for women and persons with disability.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 17 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that there is a plan to develop the area from Kalesar of district Yamunanagar to Kalka of district Panchkula from tourism point of view. In order to execute this plan, a sum of about Rs 1,200 crore would be spent in this area in next five years.
  • The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting at village Bhogpur Karali in district Yamunanagar, today.
  • He announced to give Rs five crore to Sadhaura Municipality for development works. He also announced that Gram Sabhas would be organised in all Gram Panchayats (excluding Jind Assembly Constituency) on January 26, 2019 and funds amounting to Rs 5 to 10 lakh would be given to each gram panchayat (excluding Jind Assembly Constituency) for development works.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal also announced construction of a 33 KV Sub Station at Ranjitpur. Following the demand of people of the area and MLA, he announced that this year, 3 to 4 Karam 25 km long 25 roads would be constructed and in the next financial year, 100 km roads would be constructed in Sadhaura area. He also announced that 25 km long various roads of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board in Sadhaura Assembly Constituency area would be repaired.
  • He said that the construction of bridge amounting to about Rs 13 crore on Markanda River for connecting village Galoudi of Sadhaura Assembly Constituency with Kala Amb-Naraingarh road is in final state. The construction of this bridge would benefit various villages of districts Ambala and Yamunanagar.
  • The Chief Minister said that the State Government has been developing Herbal Park at Morni in district Panchkula. Scientists from foreign countries would visit the park for research purposes and this would also benefit the farmers, he added.

  • The Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr. Kanwar Pal will unfurl the National Flag on Republic Day at Karnal and the Deputy Speaker, Mrs. Santosh Yadav will unfurl the National Flag at Faridabad.
  • The Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma will unfurl the National Flag on Republic Day Function at Rohtak, the Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu will unfurl the National Flag at Hisar, the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar will unfurl the National Flag at Gurugram, the Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij will unfurl the National Flag at Yamunanagar, the Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh will unfurl the National Flag at Nuh, the Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain will unfurl the National Flag at Kaithal, Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar will unfurl the National Flag at Kurukshetra and the Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel will unfurl the National Flag at Jind.
  • The Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Manish Kumar Grover will unfurl the National Flag at Ambala, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Kumar will unfurl the National Flag at Fatehabad, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj will unfurl the National Flag at Sonipat, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Dr. Banwari Lal will unfurl the National Flag at Jhajjar, and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Nayab Singh will unfurl the National Flag at Rewari. Similarly, the Chairman, Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Dr. Kamal Gupta will unfurl the National Flag on Republic Day at Sirsa, MLA and Chief Whip, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta will unfurl the National Flag at Panipat, Commissioner, Rohtak Division will unfurl the National Flag at Charkhi Dadri, Commissioner, Faridabad Division will unfurl the National Flag at Palwal and Commissioner, Gurugram Division will unfurl the National Flag at Mahendragarh (Narnaul).
  • If any of the dignitary or officer would be unable to reach the mentioned place then Deputy Commissioner concerned of the district would hoist the National Flag.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 17– Deputy Commissioner, Jind and District Electoral Officer, Mr. Amit Khatri has constituted four Flying Squad Teams for conducting bye-elections to Jind Assembly Constituency in a fair, transparent and organized manner. The teams would do patrolling in allocated areas to maintain law and order.
  • Mr. Khatri said that Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. Satish Kumar, Executive Engineer, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Mr. Navneet, Executive Engineer, Water Services Division, Jind, Mr. Dharambir Singh and Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Mr. Ravinder Hooda have been appointed as In-charges of these teams.
  • He said that one officer each of Police Department has been deputed with team in-charges. He said that ASI, Mr. Satyavan has been deputed with Mr. Satish Kumar In-charge of Team No. One, ASI, Mr. Jageep has been deputed with Mr. Navneet, In-charge of Team No. Two, ASI, Mr. Rajpal has been deputed with Mr. Dharambir Singh In-charge of Team No. Three and EASI, Mr. Lakhpat Singh has been deputed with Mr. Ravinder Hooda In-charge of Team No. Four.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 17 – Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma said that renovation work, as per requirement, in all government schools of the state should be got completed before March 31, 2019. He also directed the officers to expedite the construction work of toilets in schools wherever required.
  • Mr. Sharma was presiding over review meeting of the Department with senior officers, here today.
  • The Education Minister said that teachers have been directed that as per requirement, the schools should be upgraded as soon as possible. He directed the officers to review the demands of computer teachers appointed in schools on contractual basis.
  • Those present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, Mr. P.K. Das, Director General, Secondary Education Department, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Director, Elementary Education Department, Mr. D.K. Behera and other senior officers.
