  • Chandigarh, Dec 23– Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 12 development project costing over Rs 37 crore during  Vikas Rally in Ellenabad Block of district Sirsa. After which, the Chief Minister also addressed the largely attended rally.
  • The Chief Minister inaugurated nine development projects at the cost of over 21.50 crore and three development projects at the cost of over Rs 15.91 crore.
  • The nine development projects that the Chief Minister inaugurated included Railway Under Bridge (RUB) in Ellenabad on Ellenabad-Nohar Road, Railway Crossing at the cost of Rs 6.50 crore. Its work had been completed in the prescribed period of 12 months.
  • He also inaugurated 33 KV sub-station at Mithi Sureran at the cost of over Rs 2.99 crore. The substation would benefit 3,200 consumers of its nearby six villages. It would also indirectly benefit over five other villages.  He also inaugurated 33 KV sub-station at Rania at the cost of over Rs 2.71 crore.  The substation would benefit 725 consumers of its nearby ten villages and would also indirectly benefit over nine other villages. Apart from this, he also inaugurated 33 KV sub-station at village Masitan at the cost of over Rs1.74 crore. The substation would benefit 2,250 consumers of its nearby five villages and would also indirectly benefit Dabwali city, Dabwali village, Mangiana and Jogaiana.
  • Other projects included independent Canal Based Water Works at village Mangalia   at the cost of over Rs 1.85 crore, which would benefit 1,580 population around independent Canal Based Water Works at village Raipur at the cost of over Rs 1.33 crore, which would benefit 1,717 population around and new independent Canal Based Water Works at village Nirban at the cost of over Rs 1.87 crore, which would benefit 2,775 population around. All three projects would provide drinking water of 70 liters per day to its people.
  • Other project inaugurated included New 3 bays Bus Stand at village Mallekan  at the cost of over Rs 1.31 crore, which is equipped with modern amenities and rehabilitation of Kumthal Minor at the cost of over Rs 1.09 crore.
  • He laid the foundation stone of projects that included rehabilitation of Gigorani Distributory at the cost of over Rs 9.57 crore, construction of police station building in sector 19 at the cost of Rs 4.50 crore and construction of Day Care / Senior Citizens Club in sector -20 at the cost of over Rs 1.75 crore.
  • Those present included Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi , BJP State President, Mr Subhash Barala and others.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 23 – About 40 representatives from various Departments of Haryana Government participated in the three days writeshop organised by Haryana Environment and Climate Change Department, recently. The first ever writeshop was organized for the capacity building of State Level Officers on Climate Change and for converting the  ideas on climate change of the participants into the shape of a project.
  • The writeshop was organized on Project Formulation Climate Change- Mitigation and Adaption by the Department, here.  The expert faculty of Climate change Division of Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow imparted the training.
  • Additional Chief Secretary, Environment and Climate Change Department, Mrs. Dheera Khandelwal, inaugurated the Writeshop. She explained the linkage of climate change to the fate of humanity and also advised to use jute bags and steel bottles and to wisely use water, energy and other resources. She inspired the participant for writing good projects for the State under the NAFCC (National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change) and GCF (Green Climate Fund) funds.
  • The General Manager, NABARD, Deputy General Manager, NABARD, Joint Director, Environment and Climate Change and Project Directors from Banker’s Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow also shared their views and stressed on the urgent need to address the climate change issues and to inculcate the climate consciousness to save our future generations from the adverse effects of the climate change.
  • The proposal to depute one nodal officer on climate change in every department for liasoning the climate change matters. It was also  stressed to add the mitigation, adaptation activities into the annual action plan of each department to counter the effects of climate change.
  • During the writeshop the Project Directors from Banker’s Institute of Rural Development, Lucknow stressed on effective writing skills, vulnerability assessment, stakeholders, and importance of the guidelines while formulating the project. The participants also shared their views. During the writeshop, the delegates were given hands-on training in formulating the projects. After the lengthy process, the five projects on the concept of vulnerability and adaptation of Haryana were formulated. The brainstorming session on deciding the appropriate theme, stakeholder analysis and result framework of the projects were done.
  • The projects included Enhancing the resilience vulnerability of farming community of Kurukshetra and Karnal Districts of Haryana through groundwater recharging wells and solar micro irrigation,  Climate resilient livelihood security to adapt the vulnerable communities of Shivalik regions in Haryana, Providing free transport to students to reduce GHG emissions, create awareness about environment and enhance educational outcomes in Haryana,  Building Adaptive Capacity by using solar energy based treated sewage water for landscaping and pisciculture in Gurugram and Crop Residue Management, generation of power and mitigation of air pollution. These projects will be worked out in detail and will be submitted under the appropriate funding for their approval and sanction.

  • Chandigarh, Dec 23 –Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today laid the foundation stone of the 19th Medical College of the state and first medical college  of district Mahendragarh. The medical college will be constructed on 80.63 acres in village Koriyawas, Narnaul at the cost of Rs 500 crore. Apart from this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of other projects costing about Rs 136 crore and also made new announcements of worth Rs 550 crore  for Nangal Chaudhary, Ateli and Narnaul Assembly Constituencies including Medical College in village Koriyawas.
  • On the occasion, the Chief Minister also addressed the Jan Vikas Rally in Narnaul today. 
  • While addressing the largely attended rally, the Chief Minister said that the state government has a plan to set up at least one medical college in each district. In this connection, the foundation stone of a medical college for this area had been laid today. This college would be completed in 24 months. A 500-bedded hospital would also be constructed there and every year, 100 students would get admission in MBBS. He said that the people of this area had to go far off areas for up to 100-150 kms for medical treatment. With the construction of this medical college, the people would not only get better healthcare facilities but also provide employment opportunities.
  • He said that though canals were constructed since the formation of the state, due to lack of proper water distribution, this area lagged behind. When the present government came into power, the work of changing all the pump houses at the cost of Rs 143 crore was  carried out immediately and water was supplied till 293 tails out of 300.
  • He said that we have also  taken up SYL  case on priority and simultaneously, ensured the supply of equitable water so that the available water could reach equally in all areas.  After Lakhwar dam, next MoU of Renuka-Kishau Dam would be signed and it would benefit the people of southern Haryana the most.
  • He said that we have worked to increase the income of farmers. First time in the history of the state, bajra was procured at higher prices than wheat. Through Meri Fasal- Mera Bayura, the state government has procured every grain of produce bajra of farmers at Rs 1,950. In which, this district has benefited the most.
  • Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that this area had lagged behind in development in all previous regimes. First time, such government has been formed where works are being carried out in a transparent manner and on the basis of merit. After the formation of Haryana, 15 National Highways were constructed but in the last four years, work on 15 new National Highways is underway.
  • MP, Bhiwani-Mahnedragarh, Mr Dharambir Singh and Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Mrs Santosh Yadav also spoke on the occasion. Those present included MLA, Nangal Chaudhary,Mr Abhay Singh Yadav, MLA, Narnaul, Mr Om Prakash Yadav and others.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 23 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today laid the foundation stone of medical college along with inauguration and laying the foundation stone of projects costing Rs 636 crore.
  • The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of medical college to be constructed in village Koriyawas on over 80.60 acres at the cost of Rs 500 crore. Apart from this, he also laid the foundation stone of four lanning of 18.70 km road from Ghatasher Logistic Hub to Nangal Chaudhary. This road would pass via Nizampur on which Rs 62 crore would be spent.
  • He laid the foundation stone of Lifting system project for filling the water reservoirs in Nangal Chaudhary with canal water and for water supply at Dochana Rajbha, about Rs 21 crore would be spent on these two projects.  
  • The Chief Minister also inaugurated the work of covering of drainage in Narnaul city at the cost of Rs 27.37 crore, development of park in Kailash Nagar in Municipal Council, Narnaul at the cost of Rs 2.68 crore, construction of road from Saini Dharam Kanta to Mehta Chowk at about 1.76 crore and 33 KV substation in Hassanpur at the cost of Rs 3 crore.
  • Apart from this, the Chief Minister inaugurated Sahbajpur ITI SC ST wing at the cost of 4 crore. He also inaugurated government women college, Ateli at the cost of about Rs 11 crore and  33 KV substation competed in Nangal Dargu at the cost of 3.18 crore.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 23 - The written test for the posts of Constables (Male) were held smoothly across the State today as Haryana Police has made elaborate security arrangements in and around the examination centres. Adequate Officers and Police personnel were deployed at all the centres for the conduct of examination which were held in a transparent manner.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that Director General of Police (DGP) Mr B.S.Sandhu himself made surprise inspection at few schools in district Panipat and Karnal to oversee the arrangements. 
  • Besides this, range ADGPs/ IGs, Police Commissioners and  Superintendents of Police were also involved in ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of exam in various districts. 
  • The police had also taken all necessary steps to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the towns and the Highways for the candidates so that they could reach the examination centres well in time without any problem.
  • The written examination for 5000 posts of Male constable (General Duty) was held under the Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) in various districts in the state. The examination for the above mentioned posts was conducted in two shifts - Morning session from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon, and evening session from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
  • The next exam for the post of Female constables and Indian Reserve Battalion of Haryana State male constables will be held on December 30, 2018.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 23– Haryana State Transport Department has initiated the process of implementing Online Transfer Policy 2018 for the Drivers, Conductors, Sub Inspectors, Inspectors and Clerks.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that the cadre wise sanctioned, filled or vacant posts have been indicated after rationalization of these posts on www.hkcl.in/onlinetransfer.  All the employees of these cadres are required to exercise their option online for online transfer at www.hkcl.in/onlinetransfer. He said that their request for transfer to a particular station or depot would be considered on the basis of their preferences indicated online as per marks on the basis of criteria given in the Transfer Policy depending upon the actual or deemed number of vacancies. Henceforth, transfers would be effected purely on merit basis as per online Transfer Policy.
  • He said that concerned General Managers, Haryana Roadways depot would provide all employees of these cadres their individual login ID and Password with effect from December 24, 2018 to December 29, 2018. The employees of depots would be required to give an undertaking that the data filled on the portal is correct during the period from December 31, 2018 to January 7, 2019.
  • All employees in these cadres would give their preferences for the stations or depots for transfer with effect from January 8, 2019 to January 16, 2019. On the basis of the collected data, provisional and actual allocations of stations or depots would be made from January 17, 2019 to January 25, 2019.
  • All employees falling under the mentioned cadres would participate in the transfer drive to ensure objectivity, transparency and fairness in the Transfer Policy, he added.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 23 – The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 5.44 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 66.12 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 1.03 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 11.94 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced 97,400 quintals of sugar by crushing 12.17 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, which has produced 65,550 quintals of sugar by crushing 7.56 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 52,800 quintals of sugar by crushing 7.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has produced 53,150 quintals of sugar by crushing 6.15 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal has produced 62,915 quintals of sugar by crushing 7.37 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 42,100 quintals of sugar by crushing 4.75 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 38,800 quintals of sugar by crushing 4.38 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced 26,550 quintals of sugar by crushing 3.80 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sonipat has produced 1,450 quintals of sugar by crushing 0.73 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced 65,100 quintals of sugar by crushing 8.36 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • He said that so far, average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 8.96 per cent.
