- Chandigarh, Dec 22 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) would be constituted to accelerate the pace of development of Faridabad. A bill has been prepared for this which would be presented in the next session of Vidhan Sabha. After Gurugram, Faridabad would be second such district where FMDA is being constituted.
- The Chief Minister gave this information while addressing a press conference at Faridabad today.
- He said that FMDA would be constituted as per Master Plan 2031. After constitution of FMDA, all such works which earlier used to get approved at headquarters, would now be possible at local level with the coordination of Municipal Corporation and Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran. The FMDA will be headed by the Chief Minister and it will also include elected Members of Parliament and the Legislative Assembly, Municipal Corporation, Zila Parishad and Government Officers. The FMDA will have the power to issue CLUs and licences.
- For the better participation of citizens in urban governance, FMDA will be guided by the Residents Advisory Council. The Council will have the participation of up to 15 residents who are to be nominated from amongst Resident Welfare Associations, civil society, labour, real estate developers, commerce and services. The area of FMDA will include all the areas in the Master Plan notified in March 2018.
- He said that the working of FMDA would be paperless to make it transparent. Considering rapidly increasing traffic volumes and congestion on roads, FMDA will prepare a mobility management plan in coordination with Faridabad Police, MCF and District Administration towards easing traffic and resolving transportation issues. A special provision for operation of city bus services would be done. He said that this year after getting the Act passed, formal structure would be made. It is expected that FMDA will start functioning in next three months, he added.
- The Chief Minister said that a sum of about Rs 300 crore was being spent under Rainy Well Scheme for urban and rural areas of Faridabad. The present State Government has spent thousands of crores of rupees for development works in Faridabad.
- He said that Faridabad used to be a historical industrial city, but due to negligence of previous governments, Faridabad lagged behind from last two decades. Now the present State Government has been making efforts to bring the industrial city back to track of development.
- Replying to the questions of media persons, he said that various works have been undertaken as per the orders of NGT to control environment pollution. Use of new technology has been made mandatory at brick kilns. Also orders have been issued to adopt new techniques for construction work. This year, the school students have planted 25 lakh saplings. Similarly, door to door garbage collection is being done to maintain cleanliness and Garbage Disposal Plant has been established at Bandhwari, he added.
- Others present on the occasion included Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Pal, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel, MLAs namely Mr. Phool Chand Sharma, Mr. Tek Chan Sharma and Mr. Nagendra Bhadana and other dignitaries.
- Chandigarh, Dec 22 – While indirectly lashing out the opposition parties, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that those who used to discriminate have gone for good and they will never return. He said that now the present government is following the principle of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.
- The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting at village Lokra in district Gurugram today.
- He said that the victory in recent Municipal Corporation Elections have made it clear that whatever works have been undertaken by the present State Government, people have recognized them. He said that the opposition leaders get pleasure in acquiring and amassing whereas we love sacrificing. He said, “We have taken the resolve to serve the people and it is being done. We want to stay in hearts of people and so people will remain our supporters”.
- Mr. Manohar Lal said, “Now Jind by-elections will be held and then Lok Sabha and thereafter Vidhan Sabha elections . In these elections, you will have to work for yourself. We win or lose it will not make any difference to us. Profit or loss will be yours”. Targeting the opposition party, he said that they were involved in 2G scam, land scam and coal scam. Their aim was to see their own benefit first, then their near and dear ones, then party and if anything is left then they used to think about the country, he added, whereas for us Country comes first, then party and thereafter everything else.
- The Chief Minister said that the State Government has been taking up the matter in the Supreme Court to bring SYL water to the state. This matter was pending in the court for last 12 years, but the present State Government took up this matter as a result of which the Supreme Court had ordered that Haryana would get its share of water. Taking about the recent MoU, he said that Haryana would get 45 per cent water with the construction of Lakhwar dam being constructed in Uttarakhand. Similarly, two such MoUs were under process related to Renuka and Kisau dams. With the construction of Renuka dam, Delhi would get its water and the additional 300 cusecs water, which Delhi was getting, would be for the people of Haryana.
- While referring to the demands put forth, the Chief Minister said that the demands which will be feasible would be approved and implemented. He said that community centres would be established at Lokra and Mau villages at a cost of Rs four crore. Similarly, the Chief Minister announced to give Rs four crore for different works in 18 villages of the area. Apart from this, he approved a sum of Rs two crore for Baba Malik Temple and reservoir.
- Speaking on the occasion, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that in last 48 years, 11 National Highways were made and four National Highways were there in the state when Haryana was constituted. Therefore, there were only 15 National Highways whereas during the tenure of present State Government, 15 new National Highways were announced within 50 months.
- Chandigarh, Dec 22 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today inaugurated the ‘Samajik Adhikarita Shivir Avm Sugamya Gurugram Abhiyan’ at Gurugram. On this occasion, he distributed aids and equipment to Divyang persons and senior citizens.
- The Chief Minister released the calendar and Vision Document of Sugamya Gurugram Abhiyan. Impressed with the song sung by a girl, Sonia in the function, the Chief Minister announced to give cash prize of Rs 21,000 to her.
- Appreciating the organizers of the camp, he said that the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India(ALIMCO) of Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has distributed free aids and equipment to 800 Divyang persons and senior citizens. He said that the State Government has given land to ALIMCO in district Faridabad for setting up a branch so that maximum number of differently abled persons in the state could get assistance.
- He said, “We should not consider disability as a curse. Every person has shortage of something in their lives whether visible to anyone or not, but overcoming our shortcomings is the key to success”. The State Government has started skilling programmes to develop skills in Divyang persons so that they could get employment. Apart from this, the State Government has also made provision of reservation for Divyang persons in government jobs. He appealed to the private organisations to give priority to providing jobs to them.

- Chandigarh, Dec 22 – In Haryana, power generating plants from crop stubble would be set up so that crop stubble would not be burned and rather put to use for power generation.
- This was informed by Vice-Chancellor, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Prof. K.P. Singh during a Kisan Mela organised on Crop Residue Management at village Bakana in district Yamunanagar today. As many as 800 farmers of villages Bakana, Chamrodi, Dohli, Alahar, Radaur and others participated in this Kisan Mela.
- Prof. Singh suggested the farmers to make use of stubble and cow dung and said that burning crop residue and stubble causes pollution and reduces fertility of the land.
- He informed the farmers about the utilization of natural resources in the changing climate environment and suggested them to reduce their production cost. He suggested the farmers to constitute a Farmer Producer Organization with the assistance of NABARD and start marketing of good production to make farming profitable. Apart from this, he also suggested the farmers to do organic farming with the help of cow dung and cow urine. He urged the youth to associate with farming through the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Scheme.
- Chandigarh, December 22- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will launch as many as 115 Antyodaya Saral Kendras of the state, from Karnal, on the occasion of Good Governance Day on December 25, 2018.
- While giving this information, an official spokesman said that through these Kendras, the state government is providing over 400 services of 38 departments, under one roof. In these centres, people are being provided with the benefit of government schemes and other services. The people need not go to any department for the services, which are being provided at Saral Kendras. The departmental officials have also been directed to send people at these centres for services.
- He said that a workshop would be organized for all the operators before the mega launch of Antyodaya Saral Kendras on December 25, where they would be informed about the eligibility of beneficiaries to avail the benefit of various schemes.
- He said that any person can apply online on Saral portal from home but need to visit only once at the centre for verification. After applying online, the applicant would keep getting the status of his application on his mobile.
- He said that two new features have been added to the Saral portal, which included e-Ticketing system and Knowledge Management System. He said that through e-Ticketing system, any citizen could submit his complaint on Saral portal regarding any service and the concerned department would redress the complaint within 24 hours. Similarly, through e-Ticketing system, the departmental officials would also be able to submit the problems being faced by them. The Knowledge Management system would provide information to people about services through Saral portal.
