- Chandigarh, Dec 9 – Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma said that a girls college after the name of first Chief Minister of Haryana, Lt. Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma would be opened at Beri and his statue would be installed at a prominent place in the town.
- Mr. Sharma was interacting with media persons after inaugurating the Daivagya Bhushan Pandit Dulichand Sharma Reading Room at Beri in district Jhajjar today. He also paid obeisance at Maa Bhimeshwari Devi Temple and addressed the gathering at Brahman Dharamshala.
- He said that the State Government has decided to constitute a board for management of Maa Bhimeshwari Devi Temple. In the cabinet meeting, approval has already been given to Haryana Mata Bhimeshwari Devi Mandir (Ashram) Beri Shrine Act, 2018. The Board would be constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal and people associated with the temple would also be part of this Board. The State Government has also opened Sanskrit University after the name of Surya Kavi Pandit Lakhmi Chand, he added.
- Chandigarh, Dec 9 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that spiritual thinking generates positive thinking and this positivity inspires to move forward in life. A good society can be built on the basis of this positivity. The Brahma Kumari Mission is also effectively doing this work and spreading message of positivity through spiritual contemplation.
- The Chief Minister was speaking at the annual foundation day function of Brahma Kumaris Sonipat Retreat Centre, at Sonipat today. Earlier, he inaugurated Dadi Janki Auditorium in the presence of 103 years old Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Dadi Janki and inaugurated the 5th annual function of the Retreat Centre.
- He said that Brahma Kumari is a spiritual thinking and it has been showing a new path to people belonging to different religions and castes. The Brahma Kumari works with the vision of ‘Ek Ishwar-Ek Parivar’ and it considers the entire world as one village.
- The Chief Minister said that lakhs of women are associated with Brahma Kumaris and the State Government has also been working consistently for women empowerment.
- On the occasion, Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Dadi Janki expressed happiness after dedicating the auditorium.
- Others present on the occasion included Member of Parliament, Mr. Ramesh Kaushik, Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, and other dignitaries.
- Chandigarh, Dec 9 – Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar said that the media handles social responsibility very well. With the strength of their positive writing, the journalists like Lt. D.S. Anuj have given new direction to the society.
- Mr. Dhankar was speaking in a function organised in the memory of Journalist, Mr D.S. Anuj, at Bahadurgarh in district Jhajjar today. He lauded the contribution of Mr D.S. Anuj in the field of journalism.
- He urged the journalists to continue fearless journalism and contribute towards public welfare. He said that the society can be given new direction through journalism and young journalists can make significant contribution towards public welfare by utilising their energy in a right manner.
- Mr. Dhankar appreciated the campaign launched by the first fourth pillar of democracy against corruption and anarchy.
- In the function, Mr. Dhankar gave away ‘Bahadurgarh Gaurav Samman’ to ITI topper of Bahadurgarh, Ms. Priya Chhillar and ‘Anuj Smriti Patrika Samman’ to Senior Journalist, Mr. Sheel Bhardwaj.
- Chandigarh, December 9 – Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Department will organise a Conference on Top 100 Stakeholders Agri Meet -2018 at Hotel Mount View, Chandigarh on December 10, 2018.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Agriculture Department said that the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will address the conference in the concluding session whereas the Agriculture Minister, Mr O. P. Dhankar will address the Conference at 11.20 am in the morning session. As many as four sessions will be held during the conference which included Doubling the Farmers Income, Zone Wise Cropping Pattern, Straw Management and Promotion of Farmer Producer Organisation.
- He said that the welcome address will be delivered by Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’Welfare Mrs Navraj Sandhu and Vote of thanks by Director Agriculture, Mr Ajit Balaji Joshi.
- Chandigarh, Dec 9 – Judge, Supreme Court of India, Mr. Justice A.M. Khanwilkar said that technology is not panacea for speedy justice and is only a facilitator or enabler, which can be used for value addition of the Court management activity.
- Mr. Justice A.M. Khanwilkar was speaking on the concluding day of the Second National Conference of Computer Committees of High Courts, organised at Chandigarh Judicial Academy, here today. He also proposed for identifying and developing software to enhance ‘Artificial Intelligence’ for better Court management.
- While highlighting the unique initiatives taken by High Court of Punjab and Haryana in leading e-Awareness campaign, Chief Justice of High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Mr. Krishna Murari has made special mention of involving State Legal Services Authorities in spreading e-Awareness at grass root level through para-legal volunteers. In a unique initiative, High Court of Punjab and Haryana has also engaged Law Universities and Law Colleges in e-Awareness campaign. They have been requested to provide link of websites of Courts on their websites for the benefit of students, he added.
- Hon’ble Judges representing various High Courts also shared best practices and use of software applications in their respective High Courts. They also deliberated upon new initiatives being taken and future I.T. projects for the benefit of litigants, lawyers and other stakeholders in the justice delivery system. Challenges being faced by various High Courts in migration from C.I.S. 1.0 to C.I.S. 3.0 were also discussed.
- In the interactive session, the participating Judges suggested for inviting experts from I.I.Ts and I.I.Ms for seeking solutions to the technical and management issues. There was also suggestion for inviting officials from government organizations like ISRO to discuss feasibility of making use of satellite technology in place of use of optical fibre for connectivity.
- While making the concluding remarks, Chairman, Computer Committee, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan said that the Conference has achieved its initial purpose of bringing together all the stake holders in implementation of e-Courts Projects as the participants have been informed regarding developments being made by e-Committee, Supreme Court of India. At the same time, the e-Committee through its Members has been apprised of the challenges being faced by various High Courts in implementing e-Courts Projects.
- Member, Computer Committee, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Mr. Justice Surinder Gupta extended vote of thanks to all the dignitaries.
