- Chandigarh, Oct 31 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the leaders of opposition parties are very eager to come into power, but they do not have courage to debate on development works undertaken by the present government in 48 months as compared to their 48 years tenure.
- The Chief Minister was addressing Jan Vishwas Rally organised at Bhuna in district Fatehabad today. On this occasion, he announced development works worth Rs 127 crore for various development works in Ratia, Bhuna and Fatehabad.
- Mr. Manohar Lal said that they (opposition leaders) should for themselves compare the development works that have been undertaken during 48 months of the present State Government and works undertaken during 48 years. He said that during last four years, equitable development has been carried out in all 90 assembly constituencies of Haryana, but the opposition was unable to bear it. They would play political foul, mislead people, but they do not have guts to debate on issues, he added.
- He said that on forming government again, the pace of development would be further accelerated.
- The Chief Minister announced Rs 82 crore for 76 development projects of Ratia and Rs 45 crore for 59 development works on Fatehabad and Bhuna. Apart from this, whatever development projects would be forwarded to him, all feasible works would be undertaken. He said that the State Government has no dearth of funds. Last year, budget of Rs 1.15 lakh crore was presented and the next budget would be of more amount, he added.
- Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Kumar said that all political parties had misused this area for political benefits. No attention was paid to this area and its people. Only the present Government has carried out development of this area.
- Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Nayab Singh said that this year, the present State Government would carry out skill development of one lakh youth in different genres.
- Speaking on the occasion, State BJP President, Mr. Subhash Barala said that on his request, the Chief Minister had announced college for Bhuna during his first visit to the district after becoming the Chief Minister. The college building has been constructed and it would soon be inaugurated. After six months of its inauguration, classes would be started in this college, he added.
- Chandigarh, October 31- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today inaugurated Sports Facilitation Centre constructed at the cost of Rs 3 crore in village Bhodia Khera and Warehouse for Electronic Voting Machine(EVM) at the cost of Rs 2 crore in Fatehabad.
- The Chief Minister was addressing the Jan Vishwas Rally at Bhuna, Fatehabad today.
- CCTV cameras have been installed and security guards have been appointed for the security of these EVM machines. This EVM Warehouse have the capacity to house 2,000 ballot units, 2000 control units and 2000 VVPET machines. The chief minister inaugurated the newly constructed Sports Facilitation Center in Bhodia Kheda Sports Stadium, which has been constructed with modern facilities.
- Chandigarh, October 31- Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij inaugurated Family Planning Logistics Management Information System (FP-LMIS), here today. It will ensure availability, supply and monitoring of family planning commodities from the State level to the ASHA workers level.
- Mr Vij said that the system would provide online information about medicines and family planning commodities including injectable contraceptives (MPA), condoms, oral contraceptive pills (OCP), Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (IUCD), Emergency Contraceptive Pills (ECP), Tubal Rings and Pregnancy Testing Kits (PTKs).
- He said that the national level percentage in modern family planning methods is 47.8 per cent while it is 59.4 per cent in Haryana.
- He said that this information system would be available on mobile as well as Web. This system would have the facility to provide information and report itself. The system would strengthen and streamline the supply chain in Haryana.

- Chandigarh, October 31- Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that so far, we have fulfilled 90 per cent of the promises made during our election manifesto, and rest would be fulfilled in the remaining tenure.
- Mr Vij said that the data of any state reflects the works done by its state government. Similarly, the health parameters in Haryana indicate the amount of work done in the health sector. In Haryana, as compared to 2014, the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) has reduced from 41 to 33 and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) has reduced from 125 to 101, at present. Similarly, OPDs in Haryana has increased by 20 percent and IPDs by 21 per cent, while Delhi government has not done any work in the health sector, he added.
- He said that Mr Kejriwal has opened mohalla clinics in Delhi where animals and humans could be seen together.
- He said that Mr Kejriwal must prove to his claims that how pollution from the burning of crop residue in Haryana and Punjab reaches Delhi. Mr Kejriwal always hides his mistakes by blaming others. He should also pay attention to health centers and schools in Delhi.
- Chandigarh, October 31- Haryana Government has assigned Mr Sumer Partap, SP, HPA, Madhuban, the additional charge of ADC to Governor from October 29 to November 24, 2018, with immediate effect.
- Chandigarh, Oct 31 – In yet another major initiative towards modernization, Haryana Director General of Police (DGP), Mr B.S. Sandhu today unveiled the integration of the hospital data pertaining to Medico Legal cases with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) programme of Haryana Police in a function held at Police Headquarters in Panchkula today.
- The function was attended by DGP Headquarters, Mr K.K. Mishra, DGP Crime Mr P.K. Agrawal, ADGP (law and order) Mohd. Akil, ADGP Operations and IT, Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Admn. Dr M. Ravi Kiran, IG Hisar Range, Mr Sanjay Kumar, IGP CMFS Mr Rajinder Kumar and other senior police officers.
- Briefing about the project, Mr A.S. Chawla, who is also the Nodal Officer CCTNS project, apprised that Haryana is amongst the few states in the country to integrate the Hospitals and Police Department with an objective of making policing more transparent and effective. The integration of hospitals with CCTNS is a major improvement to the current IT systems of Haryana Police, he added.
- Through this integration, the Post-mortem reports (PMRs) and Medico Legal Reports (MLRs) can be viewed or downloaded by the police officials in CCTNS project.
- For Hospitals, the FIR details have been made accessible both in pdf format (as the one provided in the Citizen portal-HarSamay 24x7) and in grid format on the basis of combination of district, police station, FIR number and date.
- Chandigarh, Oct 31 – A warm send-off was accorded to Sh. K.K. Sharma, IPS, who retired today on attaining the age of superannuation after over 32 years of service in various capacities.
- In his honour, a farewell meeting was organized at Police Headquarters, Panchkula where Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu, CMD Haryana Police Housing Corporation, Mr Parminder Rai, DGP Haryana Human Rights Commission, Dr K.P. Singh, DGP Prisons, Mr K. Selvaraj, DGP Headquarters, Mr K.K. Mishra, DGP Crime, Mr P.K. Agrawal, ADGP (law and order) Mohd. Akil, ADGP and CMD Power Utilities, Mr Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor, ADGP Operations, Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Admn. Dr M. Ravi Kiran, IG Hisar Range, Mr Sanjay Kumar, IGP CFMS, Mr Rajinder Kumar, IGP Mr Sibash Kabiraj along with other senior Police Officers were present.
- All the officers wished Mr Sharma a happy and healthy post-retirement life.
- Mr Sharma retired in the rank of DGP on attaining the age of superannuation. He was posted as Director Vigilance HVPNL where he performed his duties with utmost dedication. Mr Sharma, who hails from district Yamunanagar was inducted into Indian Police Service in year 1986. During his 32 years service, he remained posted on various important key posts.
- In recognition to his excellent services and devotion to duty throughout his services, he was decorated with Police Medal in 2005 and again awarded with President’s Police Medal in year 2012.
- Chandigarh, October 31 – Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya said that it should be ensured that the benefit of all the welfare schemes in the field of education should reach every poor and deserving student.
- The Governor was speaking to Additional Chief Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department, Mr Anil Kumar at Raj Bhavan, here today.
- The Governor said that the government schemes, especially for vocational education, have proved to be beneficial for the students. Such schemes should be publicized and promoted through various departments so that maximum number of youth gets awareness and benefits from these schemes.
- He said that the State Government is providing financial assistance for Pilots’ training, free coaching facility for the preparation of examinations, IIT, JEE for the benefit of students. Under various schemes, the State Government is also paying the fees of students studying in private sector medical colleges whose family income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
- Additional Chief Secretary, Mr. Anil Kumar said that Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhattar Yojana is being run by the State Government, under which annual scholarship of Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000 is being given to the students belongs to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes up to matriculation level. Similarly, under post-matric scholarship, students studying in post-matriculate classes are being given monthly scholarships from Rs. 230 to Rs. 1,200.
- Mr Anil Kumar said that financial support is also being given to the students belonging to Scheduled Castes and poor families for admission in Paramedical vocational courses. The department has made the process fully computerized and transparent for all the government schemes under which students of these categories are being given benefit.
- He said that Antyodaya Bhawan has been opened in seven districts of the state to provide the information of government schemes under one roof for the people belonging to poor sections of the society. He also gave information about departmental activities to the Governor.
- Chandigarh, October 31- Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. D. S. Dhesi today administered the pledge of National Unity and Integrity, to the officers and officials of Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh
- Mr Dhesi inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp and paying floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. After which, National Anthem was played. The function was organised to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of ‘Iron Man of India’, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
- Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is regarded as the Father Figure of Indian Civil Services due to the work done by him for modern Civil Services of our country.
- He said that the government is working for the unity and integrity of the country while realizing the vision of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel “Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat”. He said, “It is our responsibility not to let the intentions of anti-social elements succeed within or outside the country. It is our moral duty to take our country to new heights by observing the national values of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel."
- While describing him as a Towering Personality, he said that he is the pride of the nation, who always fought for the interests of the farmers and downtrodden.
- He said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has today unveiled the “Statue of Unity” at Kevadiya in Gujarat. This is the tallest statue in the world. Besides this, “Run for Unity” was also organised throughout the country. Such programmes have also been organised at all district headquarters in the state and the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal flagged-off the “Run for Unity” program at Sirsa, where about 50,000 people took part.
- Speaking about his role in unity and integrity before and after the independence of India, he said that if Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel would have not been there to unite the country then one would have required visa to travel from one state to another state. After Independence, he was the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the country. The country would always be indebted for his role in the unity and integrity of the country.
- He said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was born on October 31, 1875 in Gujarat, dedicated 75 years of his life in the service of the nation.

- Chandigarh, Oct 31 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has announced to launch special campaign from next month to fight against the menace of drugs in the state.
- In order to save the youth from drugs and to put a check on network of drug peddlers, an integrated secretariat for states namely Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh is being established at Panchkula. This mission of the Chief Minister today got boost when more than 50,000 youth of district Sirsa, participated in the 'Run for Unity' programme organised on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Sirsa today. The Campaign would be launched under Ek Aur Sudhar Programme.
- The Run for Unity programme was organised across the country today. In this series, the Chief Minister flagged off the marathon at district Sirsa. He himself participated in the marathon and administered the oath of national unity and integrity to the people. The marathon was organised in categories of 42 km, 21 km, 11 km and five km in which youth of the districts and neighbouring districts of Hisar, Fatehabad and states namely Punjab and Rajasthan also participated. The Chief Minister gave cash prizes ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 to the winners of the marathon.
- He said that it is the responsibility of the State Government to keep youth away from drugs and for this, collective efforts should be made. He said that the way Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Programme has become a success with people’s participation, the committed people of the society and NGOs should extend cooperation to the State Government to deal with the problem of drug abuse.
- The Chief Minister claimed that Sirsa marathon was the largest marathon organised as a part of Run for Unity programme across the country. He said that this marathon would be able to get place in Limca Book of Records and Guinness World Records. He appreciated the efforts made by the District and Police Administrations which have encouraged more than 90,000 people of 328 villages of the district to fight against drug abuse.
- He said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had played a very crucial role in post-independence India by successfully integrating princely states under the Indian Dominion. Today, Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi dedicated to the nation the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the tallest statue of the world, established near Sardar Sarovar on the banks of Narmada River in Gujarat.
- Later, the Chief Minister redressed the grievances of people at Rest House in Sirsa, and inaugurated and laid foundation stones of projects amounting to about Rs 20 crore for the district.

Chandigarh, Oct 31 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today laid foundation stones and inaugurated development projects amounting to about Rs 20 crore in district Sirsa.
- Out of the total five development projects, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones of three on which about Rs 15 crore would be spent. Apart from this, he inaugurated two projects costing Rs five crore to provide health related facilities.
- Mr. Manohar Lal laid foundation stone of remodelling of Ghaghar-Bani-Sadewa-MMK link channel from RD 0 to 22,000 amounting to about Rs 10.30 crore. With the construction of this channel, better irrigation facility would be available to 17,697 acres land of 23 villages in Rania assembly constituency thus benefiting the farmers with better crop production.
- The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones of construction of link road from Kharia to Bhagsar costing over Rs 2.05 crore and construction of link road from Khai Shergarh to Jodhpuria costing over Rs 2.21 crore.
- On this occasion, he inaugurated additional building of 100 bedded Civil Hospital, Dabwali set up at a cost of about Rs five crore and Sub Health Centre, Malari set up at a cost of about Rs 29.17 lakh. The additional three-storey building of civil hospital will have OPD, rest room, lift, record room, toilet, 48 bedded ward, nursing duty room and other modern facilities.
- Earlier, the Chief Minister was felicitated by the District Nambardar Association Sirsa.
- On this occasion, farmers of the district expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister by presenting a plough to him, for the compensation issued to them for damage caused to their crops. It may be recalled that recently insurance company had issued compensation of about 229 crore to farmers of the district.
