- Chandigarh, October 26 : Giving a major boost to the actors, directors and producers associated with Haryanvi Film making, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today announced that a Film City would be developed in the State on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode so that the people associated with the cinema world could operate from a single place. This would not only be beneficial for the film industry but also provide employment to the youth and enhance their expertise.
- Mr Manohar Lal made this announcement after unveiling the maiden Film Policy of Haryana at Gurugram today. Tourism and Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma and Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Rao Narbir Singh were also present.
- On this occasion, Mr Manohar Lal also launched the website of Haryana Film Cell on which the entire detail about the Film Policy has been made available and it will serve as single window system for receiving applications and completing the procedure for seeking approvals etc.
- He said that the land of Haryana is appropriate for film production as hundreds of beautiful locations are available in the State for shooting purposes. Now-a-days the low cost films produced in the rural locale are attracting the audiences more, said the Chief Minister assuring all support and cooperation of the State Government to all who opt for producing and directing films here.
- He said that large number of leading artists in the film industry hail from Haryana and with the launch of Film Policy today, more such artists would get a chance to exhibit their talent. He said that the Film Policy of Haryana would also be launched in Mumbai soon so as to attract the film industry of Mumbai to Haryana. He said that about 2000 films have been prepared so far, providing employment to about four lakh people.
- The Chief Minister exhorted the film Directors, Producers and Actors to promote regional cinema as this would not only be beneficial for them but also help in maintaining unit and integrity of the country through the exchange of languages and culture. He also urged that besides entertainment movies, they should also make films focused on deprived and underprivileged section of society like poor, labourers and farmers as the films are the best medium to express our views. We could not change the society through films but certainly the people , of which some have the capability to transform the society, he added.
- He said that the Haryana Film Policy would not only give a major Philip to the Haryanvi Film Industry but also provide a platform to the non-haryanvi films to shoot their films in Haryana which would ultimately prove beneficial for the people of the State by way of providing employment.
- While describing today as a memorable day, the Chief Minister said that the film policy of Haryana was a long pending demand of people of film industry. He also thanked the people associated with the cinema world who have made vital contribution in finalizing this policy. Today Haryana is a leading state in the country in many spheres. The state accounts for only two per cent of the total population of the country, but its contribution in the armed forces is more than 10 per cent.
- Earlier, speaking on this occasion, Tourism and Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma thanked the Chief Minister for unveiling the Film Policy of Haryana. He said that the Film Policy has been prepared under the able guidance of the Chief Minister. Mr Manohar Lal has already announced to set up a University in the State after the name of Surya Kavi Late. Pt Lakhmi Chand.
- Famous Director, actor and producer Mr Satish Kaushik said that the Film Policy of Haryana would not only directly benefit the artists, writer, director and musicians but also boost tourism in the State. He said Haryanvi language has made its huge impact on the film industry and the Haryanvi dialects are being used in almost every field.
- On this occasion Miss World 2017 Ms Manushi Chillar and various other prominent personalities of film industry associated with Haryana thanked the Chief Minister for unveiling the Haryana Film Policy. They included Mr Raj Kumar Rao, Mr Raju Maan, Mr O.P Jain Haryanvi, Mr Rajiv Bhatia, Mr Harish Kataria, Mr Shashi Ranjan and Mr Rajernde Gupta.
- Among those present on this occasion included MLA, Sohna Mr Tejpal Tanwar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr Rajesh Khullar, Director General Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Mr Rajesh Khullar, and Media Advisor to Chief Minister Mr Amit Arya.
- Chandigarh, October 26 - With a view to provide assistance including legal, police, medical help, counseling and shelter under one roof for the women affected by violence, one-stop centres - Sakhi have been established in the phased manner in seven districts of Haryana namely Karnal, Faidabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Rewari, Bhiwani and Narnaul. As many as 3526 women have been provided assistance in these centers till August, 2018.
- This was informed during the State level steering and monitoring committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Mr D.S. Dhesi with the Deputy commissioners of the State through video conferencing.
- It was informed in the meeting that Government of India has given approval to open these one-stop centres – Sakhi in rest of the 15 districts also to be set up during 2018-19. Under the scheme, a provision of Rs. 100 lakh has been made in the budget of financial year 2018-19. Out of which Rs. 60 lakh have been earmarked for the construction of these One Stop Centers.
- It was informed in the meeting that the main objective of these one stop centres –Sakhi is to assist and resolve the problems of women affected by violence including physical, sexual harassment, emotional, psychological, financial, marital etc. These centres would also provide special facilities and help for women affected by domestic violence, human trafficking or acid attack victims. The one stop center would also be connected to the number 181.
- Additional Chief Secretary, Home department, Mr S.S. Prasad, Principal Secretary, Women & Child Development Department Mr Raja Sekhar Vundru and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
- Chandigarh, Oct 26 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has, on the completion of four years of the present State Government, announced to open group housing window for 60 days and expansion of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Policy for next three months.
- The Chief Minister was speaking at the Rising Haryana-Affordable Housing and HRERA Summit organised at Gurugram today.
- He said that on October 26, 2014, the present State Government had started its work in the state. During these four years, the State Government has worked for the development of the state and for the public welfare. Special attention was paid towards promoting real estate to realise the vision of the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi to provide housing facility to all by 2022. He said that Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Awas Yojana has been implemented for housing for all. As many as 628 unauthorised colonies have been regularised with nominal development charges. The State Government has also constituted two RERA authorities one for Gurugram and one for other parts of the state. Now taking it further, appellate authority has been constituted for HRERA and its headquarters would be at Karnal.
- The Chief Minister said that 50 new vehicles would be provided to Police Department by Urban Local Bodies through Municipal Corporation Gurugram for strengthening the law and order situation in Gurugram.
- Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, significant changes have been made in improving infrastructure of district Gurugram which was enormously benefitted the real estate and the people. He said that the previous government had issued licenses to builders for establishing high rise buildings, but did not make any provision of road for such buildings. The present State Government made available land for providing facility of road to such buildings. During four years, the developers and consumers have been benefitted with infrastructural facilities.
- Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan also spoke on this occasion.
- Chandigarh, Oct 26 – Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya said that by taking inspiration from the supreme sacrifice made by the martyrs, everyone should stay committed to ensure unity and integrity of the nation.
- The Governor was speaking in Shaurya Divas Samaroh organised in the memory of martyr Major Nitin Bali at Kurukshetra today.
- He said that the government has constituted Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department to facilitate the soldiers and their dependents, and increased the grant in aid amount. Apart from this, jobs are also being provided to dependents of martyrs on compassionate grounds. Also, the financial assistance being given to World War II veterans and their widows has been increased manifold. Shaheedi Samarak was being established over 22 acres in Ambala Cantonment by the State Government, he added.
- Appreciating the programme organised by Freedom Fighter Raja Ajit Singh Memorial Trust on the Shaheedi Divas of Martyr Major Nitin Bali, the Governor said that other organisations should also get inspired from such functions and contribute towards assistance of families of martyrs in direct or indirect manner.
- Earlier, the Governor paid floral tributes to the Major Nitin Bali. He also honoured Mrs. Adarsh Bali, mother of Martyr Major Nitin Bali and dependents of martyrs namely Mandeep Singh, Pragat Singh, Rajesh Punia, Vikramjit Singh, Gursewak Singh, Sanjeev Singh and Sushil Kumar.
- Chandigarh, Oct 26 - Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya said that moral values should be instilled in the youth alongwith academic knowledge so that they respect their parents, teachers, mother tongue and mother land.
- The Governor was speaking on the inauguration of State level Ratnawali Fest at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra today. Based on the theme ‘Not to Burn Crop Residue’, the Ratnawali Fest is being organised from October 26 to 29 at the University campus. The Governor also launched a Ratnawali Mobile App which would enable anyone in any part of the world to see the direct relay of the Fest by downloading this app.
- Emphasizing the importance of ‘Guru’ (Teacher), he said that without teacher, one cannot attain knowledge and without knowledge one cannot attain God, thus one should respect his or her teachers.
- Appreciating Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Programme launched by Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, the Governor said that the daughters should be provided with more facilities as they are shining and leading in every field including the army. He said that Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has implemented various schemes for every section of the society and the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal is making efforts for effective implementation of these schemes to realize the vision of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.
- As many 3,500 artists from all over the state would be participating in this fest presenting 31 different genres of traditional culture of Haryana. The Governor also visited the ‘Pagri Bandhwao Shivir’ and wore the turban, the symbol of respect and culture of the State. He also visited the stalls at an exhibition organised in the university campus by the craft artists.
- Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr Kailash Chandra Sharma presented a sapling to the Governor.
- Chandigarh, October 26 – Haryana Government has decided to grant interest free festival advance of Rs 7,000 each to Group-D employees for Deepawali festival.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Finance Department said that this advance will be recovered in four equal monthly instalments in this financial year.
- Chandigarh, Oct 26 – In a major break-through, Haryana Police have arrested a history-sheeter from district Jind and recovered six illegal pistols and five magazines from him.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that accused, Sunil Tarkhan, a close aid of hardcore criminal ‘Satbir alias Jhabbal’ was arrested by detective team sleuths based on a tip-off from near to Jind Court premises.
- It was revealed in the preliminary interrogation that arrested accused was a member of Satbir alias Jhabbal gang and he brought these illegal weapons from Madhya Pradesh at the behest of Jhabbal to supply these to his aids as they were plotting to executive a major incident of crime in the area. As many as 36 cases pertaining to murder, attempt to murder, robbery and under arms act were registered against the history sheeter in different districts of Haryana and Rajasthan.
- Giving further details, he said that accused Sunil went to Jind jail almost 18 months ago where he met hardcore criminal Satbir alias Jhabbal, who was also lodged in jail. Earlier, Sunil was a member of Pradeep Jamwadi Gang, but while being in jail he became member of Jhabbal gang. After some time, Sunil came out of jail and Jhabbal shifted to Kurukshetra jail. Jhabbal was operating the gang from Kurukshetra jail and as per his directives; Sunil had brought all illegal weapons from Madhya Pradesh for supplying these to other accomplices for executing a major crime.
- He said that the accused will be taken on police remand by producing him in the court so that the whole matter including his involvement in other cases can be unearthed.
- Meanwhile, Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu lauded the Jind Police for their relentless efforts in reducing the crime rate significantly and added that all district Superintendents of Police must ensure strengthening intelligence network so that hardcore criminals could be put behind bars.
- Chandigarh, Oct 26 - The five year old girl ‘Khushi’, who went missing on July 24, 2018 from Patiala area, was reunited with her parents in Panchkula by the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Haryana Police Crime Branch.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that a team of AHTU, after completing required formalities, handed over the girl to her parents at Bal Sadan, Sector -12A, Panchkula. The girl was found at the Ambala railway station on July 25, this year. Later, following the process, she was sent to Bal Sadan, Panchkula.
- Explaining the investigation process, the spokesman said that a team of AHTU comprising Sub-Inspector Mrs Mukesh Rani, Assistant Sub Inspector Mr Rajesh Kumar, Head Constable Karamchand and lady constable Kavita had visited Aadhaar office in Sector -1 Panchkula to get some leads about the missing girl. The team then visited Aadhaar office, Sector-17 Chandigarh and got the address of missing girl that traced in Patiala.
- After getting address, the AHTU team immediately contacted Police Control Room, Patiala and shared photo of missing girl on WhatsApp. A cop informed that a complaint of missing girl was filed at Anaj Mandi Police Station, Patiala. This way, the team of AHTU helped a five year old girl of Patiala reunite with her parents in Panchkula, he added.
- Chandigarh, Oct 26- 99 out of 100 farmers in Haryana have not burnt paddy stubble during the current harvesting season.
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Government of Haryana expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the farmers of Haryana who had displayed a high level of responsibility and awareness about protecting the environment. The total number of paddy growing farmers in Haryana is 7 lakhs.
- The spokesman stated that paddy had been sown on 13 lakh hectares in Haryana. Till now harvesting had taken place on 10 lakh hectares. Burning of paddy stubble had been reported only on 6200 hectares till date. This was only 0.6% of the total area on which harvesting had taken place. This had been possible because of the massive campaign undertaken by Government of Haryana and Government of India to create awareness among the farmers and also the provision of subsidy for setting up of Custom Hiring Centres and purchase of individual agriculture implements. During 2018-19 a sum of Rs.107 crores had been spent on IEC activities and subsidy.
