- Chandigarh September 23: Haryana Governor, Mr . Satyadeo Narain Arya has appreciated the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal for implementing various schemes and programmes for the welfare of people belonging to all sections of the society and said that the Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PMJAY) would provide free medical treatment facility of upto Rs five lakh per family annually to 15.50 lakh eligible families in the State.
- Mr . Satyadeo Narain Arya was addressing a well attended state level function organized at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College at Karnal today. Earlier, he alongwith Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal launched the Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PMJAY) in the State.
- While paying rich tributes to the martyrs of the State on the occasion of Shahidi Diwas today, Mr . Satyadeo Narain Arya said that Haryana has a glorious history and has achieved number one position in many spheres. He exhorted the people of the State to contribute in the development and progress of the country.
- He also congratulated Mrs Mousami Devi on the birth of baby girl Karishma and also wished for her bright future. Mrs Mousami, a resident of Karnal’s village Ghisarpuri, became the first beneficiary under the Ayushman Bharat Yojna. She gave birth to Karishma on August 17 at the Kalpana Chawla Government Hospital through cesarean section.
- The Governor said that Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi is working for the welfare of 130 crore people of the country and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana would largely benefit the poor and needy people as it would provide assured health cover of upto Rs five lakh annually to the eligible beneficiaries . In Haryana, about 80 lakh people of 15.50 lakh eligible families would be benefited under the scheme, he added.
