  • Chandigarh, Sept 8– The students belonging to minority communities of Haryana can apply online for pre-matric, post-matric and merit-cum-means scholarships latest by September 30,2018. The students can apply online on website www.scholarships.gov.in.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that for pre-matric scholarship, the annual income of parents/guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs. one lakh and for the post-matric scholarship, the annual income should not exceed Rs. two lakh. Similarly, for merit-cum-means scholarship, the annual income of parents/guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh. The scholarships will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50 per cent marks in the previous final examination. He said that all three scholarships have been reserved for 30 per cent girls.
  • The spokesman said that for further information, students may visit the website www.minorityaffairs.gov.in or office of District Social Welfare Officer concerned.
  • He said that the Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Department has been implementing various schemes of the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs for the welfare of minority communities. These schemes are 100 per cent centrally sponsored, he added.
