  • Chandigarh, Sept 7 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval amounting to Rs 518.49 lakh for providing residential facilities to police personnel in Safidon as well as construction and extension of welfare centres in Palwal and Panchkula. 
  • Stating this here today, Director General of Police Mr B.S. Sandhu said that a sum of Rs 143.15 lakh had been approved for the construction of six type-II and two type-III houses in City Police Station, Safidon in district Jind. Similarly, Rs286.15 lakh would be spent on construction of welfare centre in Police lines, Palwal and Rs 89.19 lakh for extension of welfare centre in Police lines, Panchkula. 
  •  He said that government intended to provide better residential and other facilities to police personnel in the state. Such kind of facilities would further help in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of police personnel.
  •  It may be recalled that the Chief Minister had recently approved Rs 29.50 crore for construction of 306 houses of Police personnel, NGO hostel, barracks and administrative block in different police lines and police stations in the state.
