  • Chandigarh, Sept 5- On the demand by villagers and on the basis of geographical contiguity, the Haryana government has decided to transfer 16 villages of Patwar Circles Jhiwerheri and Ucha Chandna, tehsil and Sub Division, Radaur to Sub Tehsil Saraswati Nagar and Sub Division Jagadhri.
  • A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of State Cabinet held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today.
  • These 16 villages included Ucha Chandna, Kanjibans, Kabulpur, Jhar Chandna, Faridpur, Daulautpur (Maliyan), Gundyani, Jhiwarheri, Hudiya, Jamalpur, Mehmoodpur, Balsua, Beer Balsua, Gardhi, Sahabpur and Ramgarh.
  • There are 122 villages in Tehsil and Sub Division Radaur and after excluding 16 villages, 106 villages will remain in Tehsil and Sub Division Radaur.  There are 55 villages in Sub Tehsil Saraswati Nagar and 199 villages in Sub Division Jagadhri. After including 16 villages, there will be 71 villages in Sub Tehsil Saraswati Nagar and 215 villages in Sub Division Jagadhri.
  • The Cabinet also approved the proposal of Urban Local Bodies Department for the transfer of land measuring five kanal 16 marla out of total land 91 kanal six marla of Municipal Committee Taraori at collector rate of Rs 85 lakh per acre and 85 kanal 10 marla at collector rate of Rs 30 lakh per acre plus development charges Rs 80 per square yard to the higher education department for the construction of government college at Taraori, Karnal on lease period of 33 years.
  • The Cabinet also approved the proposal of Development and Panchayats Department regarding the exchange of Shamilat land measuring one kanal three marla of Gram Panchayat Jhanswa, block Matanhail, district Jhajjar with the land measuring one kanal six marla of the M/s Visaka Industries Limited as the part of passage bearing Khasra No.541 is passing through the land owned by the M/s Visaka Industries. An alternate passage is being provided in lieu of the part of the passage No.541 being exchanged.
