  • Chandigarh, August 23- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has expressed grief over the sad demise of Mr Kuldip Nayar, a veteran journalist, an eminent writer and a former Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. Mr Nayar was 95 and breathed his last in New Delhi, yesterday.  
  • In a condolence message issued here today, the Chief Minister said that Mr Nayar was an intellectual, who fought for the freedom of press for a long period. Through his writings, he has left an indelible imprint on people, for which he would always be remembered.  
  • The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty that the departed soul may rest in peace.
  • The Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr Rajiv Jain, Principal Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages, Mr Rajesh Khullar and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages, Mr Sameer Pal Srow also mourned the death of Mr Kuldip Nayar.
