- Chandigarh, August 20 – Haryana Police have arrested five persons for allegedly possessing 38.6 gram heroin from two different locations in district
- While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that the accused have been identified as Gagandeep Singh, Hardeep Singh, Raghubir Singh, Sevendra and Sunil Kumar, all resident of the district

- Meanwhile, Director General of Police Mr B.S. Sandhu lauded the efforts being made by Sirsa Police against those involved in drug peddling activities.
