  • Chandigarh, August 2 - The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today approved to authorize veterinary doctors to take samples of milk and send these for laboratory examination.
  • He also issued directions that the procedure of allotting duties to home guards be made online, and regular raids should be conducted by joint teams constituted for the purpose to prevent illegal mining in Ghaggar river.
  • The Chief Minister was addressing people at the Janta Darbar organised at his residence here today. At the darbar, people from the state and representatives of 15 delegations presented their demands.   
  • Besides, officers of Health Department, the Chief Minister also authorized officers of Animal Husbandry Department to take milk samples to ensure the quality of milk in the state. Veterinary doctors in their respective areas will lift milk samples and send these for examination in laboratory.
  • On the demands made by Diploma Veterinary Association, Mr Manohar Lal directed the Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department, to conduct an inspection.
  • Hearing the demand for regular allotment of duties to home guards, the Chief Minister directed officers concerned to go online so that all home guards are allotted duties without bias.
  • Taking a serious note of the complaints regarding illegal mining in river Ghaggar in Panchkula, he directed officers to conduct regular raids to prevent illegal mining at all cost. 
  • On the grievance submitted by the delegation of Haryana Private School Association, he asked them to submit their demands to the Additional Chief Secretary, School Education, by August 25 so that appropriate action could be taken.
  • On the demand of bringing schools under the Right to Education Act, he said the department was formulating a policy regarding recognition of schools. If the Haryana Private School Association made any suggestions, these would be considered.
  • Chandigarh August 2: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 13.88 crore for the construction of new road and upgradation of existing roads in district Hisar.
  • While stating this today, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that a sum of over Rs 6.10 crore has been approved for upgradation of road from Khanda Kheri Jalab Narnaund – Khanda Kheri - Dharamkheri -Karela and Khanda Kheri bye pass.
  • He said that while a sum of over Rs 4.32 crore has been approved for construction of new road from Kheri Jalab to Sotha and over Rs 3.46 crore for upgradation of road from Khanda Kheri to Petwar.
