  • Chandigarh June 1: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today visited Valmiki Mandir in Model Town, Karnal and expressed his condolences over the death of three members of a family in fire incident that took place in a sofa-manufacturing unit  yesterday.   
  • While consoling the family members of the deceased, the Chief Minister said that it is an irreparable loss to the family and prayed the almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.         
  • The Chief Minister described the death of Pooja Rani and her two daughters namely Suhana and Pari as tragic and assured the family of all possible support and assistance on behalf of the State Government. 
  • It may be recalled that Pooja Rani  alongwith her husband Rajkumar were staying  in a rented accommodation on the first floor of the building in Ramnagar,  which had a sofa-manufacturing unit on the ground floor that caught fire yesterday. Pooja Rani and her two daughters were burnt alive in this incident.   
  • Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Karnal Mrs Renu Bala Gupta, Senior Deputy Mayor Mr Krishan Garg, BJP District President Mr Jagmohan Anand, former Minister Mr Shashipal Mehta, senior BJP leader Mr Ashok Sukhija and other prominent personalities were also present on this occasion.
