  • Chandigarh, June 16—The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has announced that a hospital would be set up for the treatment of  disabled persons on five acres in the state.  
  • He made this announcement while addressing the audience after laying the foundation stone of the state-of-the-art Artificial Limb Fittings Centre, a subsidiary of the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), to be set up at a cost of Rs 20 crore in Nawada village of Faridabad district, today.
  •  The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts made by the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and empowerment, Mr Krishan Pal  Gurjar, for the uplift and welfare of the people and said the credit for setting up of this unit in Nawada went to the Union Minister who presided over the function.
  • Mr Manohar Lal said during the three-and-a-half years of the present government efforts had been made to inject transparency in the working of the government. Schemes have been implemented for overall development of each section of the society with all schemes under one roof.
  • Delivery of services to the people has been paced up and the system strengthened. For further development and expansion of services at the village level, Atal Sewa Kendras have been set up in villages. The process of setting up more Antodaya centers has been expedited to implement 300 different types of public welfare schemes.
  • The Chief Minister said a sports stadium would be set up in Bukharpur village. Once it met the required criteria, the Government  High School, Nawada, would be given the status of Senior Secondary School.
  • He announced the decision to give a sum of Rs. 11 lakh each for gaushalas in Nawada and Mohna villages though Gram Panchayats, and Rs 5 lakh each for the villages of Bhupani,Rasoolpur Khaadar and Mothuka.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Mr Krishan Pal Gurjar said the artificial limb centre to be constructed in Nawada  would benefit the entire northern region of the nation. It would be completed within one year.  
  • Chandigarh, June 16 - The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has made is clear that the roadshows being organized are not propaganda for the upcoming elections but an instrument to reach out to the people, to understand and resolve their problems, and build a direct link with the public.  
  • “We shall persist with such roadshows during the tenure of our government”, he said while speaking to the people during his 9th roadshow in Sonipat, today. Overall development has been done in all the 22 districts of the state, and out of the 4,900 announcements made by him, 3,350 have been fulfilled and work on the remaining is in process, he added.
  • Mr Manohar Lal announced a bounty of schemes worth Rs. 52.23 crore for the residents of Sonipat.  He laid the foundation stone of ITI in village Khewra to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 14.24 crore. He congratulated the people on the occasion of Eid and said providing best services to the public always topped his agenda.
  • Before the beginning of the roadshow in Sonipat, Mr Manohar Lal visited the mini-secretariat and dedicated the ‘saral Kendra’ i.e. e-Disha centre, set up at the cost of Rs. 4.75 crore to the people of Sonipat district. He also dedicated a 33-kv sub-station constructed at the cost of Rs.3.62 crore  in  Saafiabad village to  provide better power supply to the people of the area.
  • Later, the Chief Minister reached Sonipat-Purkhas-Moi road where he dedicated a two-lane flyover constructed at the cost of Rs. 43.86 crore to the people of the state.
  • The Saral Kendra set up at the mini-secretariat has 30 service counters to provide facilities to the general public under one roof.  It has been completed in a record period of 12 months.  
  • The centre is air-conditioned with proper waiting lounge and is equipped with modern technology. It would have facilities for vehicle registration, Haris, Jamaabandi, Intkaal, Nakal etc. in addition to the CM Window facility.
  • On this occasion, Mr Manohar Lal, along with  Urban Local Bodies Minister,  Mrs Kavita Jain, and MP, Ramesh Kaushik , planted saplings on the premises of the mini- secretariat.
  • Media Advisors to Chief Minister Mr Rajiv Jain and Mr Amit Arya, OSD of Chief Minister, Mr Bhupeshwar Dayal, Ramchandra Jangda, Devendra Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner, Vinay Singh and other officials of the district were also present on the occasion.
