- Chandigarh, July 7--The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that no individual or society could grow alone. Dependency on each other plays an important role in the growth of society and promotion of social harmony.
- Speaking after laying the foundation stone of rehabilitation of all displaced families of Mirchpur in Dhandur village today, he said, “Since rehabilitation of these families is aligned with the vision of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, I suggest the this place should be named Deen Dayal Puram. A park should also be developed here, and it should be named Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Park.”
- He said the 258 displaced families of Mirchpur village would be accommodated on eight acres in Dhandur village. A sum of Rs 4.56 crore would be spent on this project. As a social being, our responsibility is to work together to strengthen social harmony.
- The state government is working in the spirit of Antyodaya according to the vision of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya which means uplift of people till the last person in the queue. The state government also aims to provide benefits of schemes to all sections of the society.
- Mr Manohar Lal said Mirchpur was struck with this unfortunate tragedy in 2010 but the then government could not find any solution in the next four years. Then we were in opposition but we continued our efforts to solve the problem. For this, we interacted with both sides. The only solution was to rehabilitate the displaced families. And the present government has decided to rehabilitate them in village Dhandur.
- Speaking on this occasion, the Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, said the present government was working in the spirit of Haryana Ek-Haryanavi Ek. It is first such government which has worked for the development of the state by rising above the considerations of region and caste.
- The Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi, said the present government had resolved problems lying pending for over eight years. The INLD and Congress Governments only shed crocodile tears for political gains, he added.
- Chandigarh, July 7---The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today inaugurated and dedicated five projects costing Rs 27.70 crore to the people of Sirsa district. Besides, he laid foundation stone of eight development projects on which over Rs 57.69 crore would be spent.
- Interacting with mediapersons after inaugurating the projects in Sirsa today, he said soon after the present government took over the reins in 2014, a model of equitable development throughout the state was prepared, and development works were being carried out accordingly in every region.
- About 82 per cent of the development works announced till 2017 have been completed and work on the remaining 18 per cent announcements is in progress and would be completed soon. Workers constitute the backbone of the party and during ‘Chai pe Charcha’ discussions related to development of regions, elections and organisation are held with them.
- Mr Manohar Lal said in the last three-and-a-half years, we have done development and welfare works according to the expectations of the people. Now, under various programmes, communication would be directly held with the people to get information regarding the works.
- “We have done qualitative development works in a systematic manner so that they remain useful to people for a longer period,” he said. Citizen-centric services have been made online through e-Governance and for its implementation, Atal Seva Kendras, Gram Sachivalayas, e-Disha Kendras and Antyodaya Seva Kendras have been set up. Setting up of these centres has benefitted the general public as they now need not go to government offices again and again.
- He said for resolution of problems, people could also reach CM Window. So far four lakh complaints have been received through this medium. These have come due to the wrong policies and disorganized work system of previous governments.
- The Chief Minister inaugurated five projects in Sirsa, which includes new vegetable market at Dabwali, tehsil building at Rania, augmentation of the sewerage system and sewage treatment plant at Rania and Kalanwali and independent canal-based waterworks at Phullo. In addition to this, canal-based waterworks would be constructed in the villages of Sikanderpur, Mallekan, Jhorarnali, Bahiya and Haripura and Bani, he said.
- Earlier, Mr Manohar Lal redressed the grievances of people at PWD Rest House and issued directions to the officers concerned to immediately resolve their grievances.
- Those present on the occasion included Chairman, Haryana Tourism Corporation, Mr Jagdish Chopra, Chairperson, Haryana Women Development Corporation, Mrs Renu Sharma, District BJP President, Mr Yatinder Singh, and others.
- Chandigarh, July 7–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that the state government is working on a comprehensive water conservation plan under which daily drinking water availability in the rural areas would be raised to 130 litres per person from 70 litres.
- Addressing a public function organized in Hisar today, he said 2,600 cusecs of water was never released into the Jawaharlal Nehru Canal constructed with capacity of 2,600 cusecs in 1976, because of the danger of breach in the canal.
- But after appropriate management and cleaning of the canal, the present government increased its capacity and released 3,000 cusecs of water yesterday. The target is to increase it to 4,000 cusecs. This would help in utilization of maximum of rain water and would also raise the underground water table and make more water available for agricultural land.
- Mr Manohar Lal said the state government had constituted Ponds Authority for restoration of 14,000 ponds in 6,500 villages of the state. There are three types of ponds. First, the ponds are overflowing and have dirty water and villagers are demanding drainage of water. Second, ponds have become dry, and third. neither the ponds are dry nor are they overflowing but the water has become dirty.
- In order to improve the condition of these ponds, overflowing ponds would be used for irrigation of fields. With this, ponds would remain clean and there would be no dearth of water for cleaning bathing of cattle, he added.
