Chandigarh, September 13– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has urged the Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari for the construction of Northern Bypass of Pataudi town for completion of ring road around Pataudi town under Bharatmala Pariyojna.
In a demi official letter, the Chief Minister has stated that since there is no projected bypass on the Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi-Patauda route, traffic continues to clog the Patauda town. Considering the importance of Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi-Patauda which connects several important National Highways such as Delhi-Agra (NH-2), Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Gurugram-Jaipur (NH-48), Gurugram- Rewari (NH-352W) and Rohtak-Rewari (NH-352), the construction of bypass of Pataudi town in Northern direction is a need of the hour.
The Chief Minister further informed that keeping in view the huge economic benefit and the traffic decongestion, the government of Haryana has decided to bear 50% cost of land acquisition and Utility Shifting.
He said that the Southern Bypass has already been constructed by NHAI as part of 4-laning project of Gurugram-Pataudi-Patauda road (NH-352W) which has significantly facilitated the movement of National Highway traffic away from the town. He added that the complete Bharatmala Pariyojna would reduce travel time and distance while ensuring holistic development and accelerating state growth.
