Chandigarh, Sept 7 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that nature represents the embodiment of God, and it is our collective responsibility to protect it.

The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at a function held on the occasion of Janmashtami and the 572nd incarnation day of Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj at Guru Jambheshwar Temple in Hisar today.  On this occasion, he also unveiled a statue of the late former Chief Minister, Ch Bhajan Lal within the temple premises.

He said that Lord Shri Krishna delivered the message of the Bhagavad Gita in Kurukshetra, emphasizing the significance of actions and the triumph of righteousness, and Guru Jambheshwar, who, in the 16th century, promoted awareness on environmental conservation, underscored the importance of nature, and the preservation of vegetation.

He also highlighted the relevance of Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj's teachings, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when the shortage of oxygen underscored the critical role of nature. He stressed that the messages conveyed by Saint Mahatma Guru Jambheshwar remain pertinent today. The Chief Minister reiterated the necessity of safeguarding nature, as it is the very form of God, comprising the five elements: Bhoomi-Vayu-Agni-Neer-Water-Gagan. He called for a pledge to protect nature on the incarnation day of both Lord Shri Krishna and Guru Jambheshwar.

Mr. Manohar Lal expressed the importance of celebrating great individuals, emphasizing their teachings and life stories as a means to inspire the younger generation. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by the Bishnoi community in safeguarding the Khejri tree and deer.

All legislative assemblies are being developed with the principle of "Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek"

Recalling former Chief Minister Ch. Bhajan Lal, he said that today, some individuals also closely link his name with him. Ch. Bhajan Lal had ensured uniform development of entire Haryana without any discrimination and he himself is promoting uniform development across all Vidhan Sabhas, adhering to the core mantra of "Haryana One-Haryanvi One."

The Chief Minister also assured to fulfill the demand letter given by former MP Sh Kuldeep Bishroi, who is the patron of All India Bishnoi Mahasabha on behalf of Bishnoi Mahasabha. He said that Matka Chowk in Hisar would be named after Ch Bhajan Lal and promised to name and institution within the state in his honour. In addition, he also assured to write a letter to the Union Ministry of Railways to request the naming of a railway station after Chaudhary Bhajan Lal. The Chief Minister also announced a financial grant of Rs 21 lakh to the Bishroi Mahasabha.

Former MP Mr. Kuldeep Bishnoi expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his presence at the Janmashtami Mahotsav and commended his commitment to the principle of "Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek." He recalled that when he served as an MLA from Adampur in the Congress, Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal had promptly approved grants for development projects, emphasizing his non-partisan approach to governance.

Speaking on this occasion, MLA Sh Bhavya Bishnoi praised the Chief Minister as an honest, visionary leader who supports the welfare of all sections of society and adheres to the mantra of "Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas." He highlighted the Chief Minister's unblemished record, with no corruption allegations against him since assuming office in 2014. He remarked that the leadership of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi is making a global impact today.

Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, Rajya Sabha MP Lieutenant General (Retd.) Dr. DP Vats, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Mr. Ranbir Gangwa, MLA Mr. Duda Ram, MLA Mr. Jogi Ram Sihag, Mayor Mr. Gautam Sardana and members of the All India Bishnoi Samaj were also present on this occasion.
