Chandigarh, September 6 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, while once again underlying the government's unwavering commitment to public welfare and development, today accorded approval to the drinking water work project worth Rs 14.50 crore for the Thurana village, district Hisar.
The Chief Minister as part of his three-day Jan Samvad programme was engaged in a direct interaction with the people in Thurana village of Hansi constituency in Hisar district.
He informed that so far, a total of 19,000 public issues have been registered and documented on the Jan Samvad portal. Of these, 2,500 have already been successfully resolved, while Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for another 13,000 are currently in the works. This proactive approach highlights the government's dedication to efficiently managing the concerns of its citizens.
While highlighting the state's financial stability during the Jan Samvad held today at Thurana village in the Hansi constituency of district Hisar, Sh. Manohar Lal said that tax collection continues to witness annual growth. In a significant achievement, the present government has accomplished twice the number of development projects in its nine-year tenure compared to the previous ten years.
Sh. Manohar Lal, who was actively engaged in hearing the concerns of the residents of Thurana village in the Hansi constituency of district Hisar as part of his three-day Jan Samvad programme, emphasized that the state government is well-equipped with the necessary financial resources to carry out all the developmental tasks effectively.
He urged Zilla Parishads and Panchayats to play an instrumental role in local development initiatives and assured them of additional funding support from the state government when needed.
Meanwhile, on the demand of the villagers, the Chief Minister approved the construction work of three roads and paving of Kachchi Phirni, paving 15 lanes, a boundary wall, drinking water, roads and cemetery of three crematoriums under the Shivdham scheme. He also approved the work of drainage of rainwater in a colony belonging to Scheduled Castes and drainage of waterlogging in fields on Bhatol Road.
CM makes several key announcements to enhance infrastructure, healthcare, employment opportunities, and education in the village.
During the Samvad, the Chief Minister unveiled a series of pivotal development projects for the village including approval for the installation of a 10 MVA transformer in the village's powerhouse, a move expected to significantly bolster the village's electrical capacity and distribution network.
Further, he also gave a nod for the construction of a sub yard at the village procurement centre, covering an expansive 12-acre area at an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore. This subyard will play a crucial role in facilitating various procurement and storage activities within the village.
He said that the Zilla Parishad will provide basic sports facilities including a synthetic track in the sports stadium of the village. This aims to promote physical fitness and encourage sports participation among the community's residents.
Besides this, the Chief Minister personally distributed pension certificates to nine eligible families in Thurana village, underlining the government's commitment to ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
During the Samvad, the Chief Minister apprised the gathering that 70 individuals from the village have benefited from the Ayushman Yojana, receiving a cumulative sum of Rs 22.74 lakh in healthcare benefits. Notably, five individuals have received benefits exceeding one lakh rupees under this scheme.
Sh. Manohar Lal further shared that fostering economic growth and self-sufficiency, the government has already extended loans for self-employment to 26 young residents of the village through Rozgar Melas, with an additional 92 youths currently in the process of securing loans.
Lastly, to equip students with valuable practical skills, the Chief Minister directed the District Education Officer to introduce vocational classes within the village school.
Government initiatives transforming the system for better services and opportunities
The Chief Minister while highlighting pivotal efforts taken by the government to revamp the system said that earlier only 15 paise was disbursed out of the total money meant for the public development works, but now every single penny meant for the public welfare reaches to the ground. For this, the government has done the work of changing the system through IT and now people are getting benefits of public welfare schemes and facilities while sitting at home.
Benefits of government schemes are being given through PPP
The Chief Minister said that today, apart from birth and death registration, the work of making income and caste certificates is being done automatically through the Parivar Pehchan Patra. Apart from this, the work of making pension and BPL ration cards is also being done with a single button under PPP.
He said that recently, apart from making ration cards for 12.50 lakh poor families, work has been done to provide benefits of Ayushman Yojana up to Rs 5 lakh to families with income less than Rs 1.80 lakh. Besides this, 9 lakh gas connections have been issued under the Ujjwala scheme. The government has now increased the subsidy on these cylinders from Rs 200 to Rs 400.
The Chief Minister said that work is being done to make women self-reliant under the Livelihood Mission through self-help groups. Till now, benefits have been given to 5 lakh members of 55,000 Self-Help Groups in the State. Also, easy loans are being provided to the youth for self-employment by organizing Antyodaya Rozgar Melas.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also met family members of Pradeep Kumar (30), the resident of Thurana village, to express his condolences on the demise of Pradeep who had died today due to electrocution.
