Chandigarh, September 2 – In a bid to enhance infrastructure, educational opportunities, and community services for the citizens of Faridabad district, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, laid the foundation stone for 11 development projects costing over Rs. 93 crore on Saturday. These projects span various sectors and are set to bring about substantial improvements to the region.
The Chief Minister inaugurated six road projects undertaken by the Public Works Department with a combined estimation of around Rs. 66.50 crore. These projects are poised to enhance the local road infrastructure, providing better connectivity and accessibility for residents.
Education received a boost as the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of four school buildings, with a total budget of about Rs. 19.62 crore. These initiatives are designed to create a more conducive learning environment for the youth of the state, emphasizing the importance of quality education and its role in empowering the next generation.
Furthermore, Sh. Manohar La also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a community hall in Sector 48 of HSVP. This project, estimated about Rs. 6.99 crore, aims to provide essential facilities such as table tennis, a gym, and a badminton hall for the local community. The construction of this community hall is expected to be completed within the next 18 months.
The list of the projects of which the foundation stones were laid includes the reconstruction of 7.25 kilometre-long Faridabad-Mangrola road at a cost of about Rs. 17.51 crore, construction of a four-lane, 7.99-kilometre-long road with an estimated cost of about Rs. 27.15 crore, strengthening work of 3.86-kilometre long Atali to Arwa road at a cost of around Rs. 5.10 crore and strengthening work of 2.76-kilometer-long Sikri to Piala road with an estimated expenditure of about Rs. 1.39 crore.
Besides these, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of Government High School of NIT-1 Faridabad including construction of classrooms and other essential facilities at a cost of Rs. 3.78 lakh. He also laid the foundation stone of the new building of Government Secondary Senior Secondary School Badauli to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.60 crore. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of Martyr Lieutenant Rajesh Thapa Government Girls Senior Secondary School and Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Tigaon to provide state-of-the-art facilities and promote educational excellence at a cost of Rs. 7.68 crore and 4.80 crore respectively.
Union Minister of State, Sh. Krishan Pal, Haryana Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, MLAs, Smt. Seema Trikha, Sh. Narender Gupta, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, Sh. Nayan Pal Rawat, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Vikram Singh and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
