Chandigarh, September 2 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal while chairing the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting held at the HSVP Convention Hall in Sector 12, Faridabad today unveiled a comprehensive master plan for the holistic development of the entire Faridabad urban area. The ambitious plan, devised in collaboration with IIT Delhi/Roorkee, aims to systematically enhance infrastructure and public services within the Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority's jurisdiction area.
Meanwhile, a total of 14 complaints were placed before the Chief Minister in the meeting, out of which 12 complaints were settled on the spot.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to conduct a survey in collaboration with IIT Delhi/Roorkee to meticulously assess the existing urban landscape and identify areas that require improvement and redesign to align with the development schemes.
“With the help of the IIT team, the structure and levelling in the Municipal Corporation area will be examined and where improvements are to be made and redesign is to be given under the development schemes. Besides this, concrete steps will be taken in this direction,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that for systematic infrastructure development, the master plan will comprehensively address road construction, drainage systems, and other essential infrastructure elements. This holistic approach will create a structured framework to deliver efficient public services to the community, said the Chief Minister.
During the meeting, Sh. Manohar Lal also underscored the pressing need for water conservation and urged the public to actively participate in this vital effort.
Zero Tolerance for wrongdoings in Municipal Corporations
The Chief Minister while taking strict cognizance of various complaints related to the Municipal Corporation issued a stern warning against any misconduct by Corporation officers and employees. He emphasized the commitment to a corruption-free government and directed the officers to take swift action against illegal construction and encroachments.

The Chief Minister also congratulated the scientists on the successful launch of Aditya-L-1. He expressed optimism for the mission's success, highlighting India's remarkable achievements in space exploration under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi.
