Chandigarh, July 18 – While showering a bonanza of development projects on the people of the state, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 347 projects worth about Rs. 2,741 crores through video conferencing from Ferozepur Jhirka, Nuh. These projects include the inauguration of 157 projects worth Rs. 1,279 crore and the laying of the foundation stone of 190 projects worth Rs. 1,462 crores.
The Chief Minister announced 4 new drinking water projects for 66 villages of Nuh constituency worth Rs 306 crore. He also announced the construction of a road from Nuh to Mundaka village which will start in November and also announce to increase drinking water capacity from 55 LPCD to 70 LCPD in 80 villages of Ferozepur Jhirka.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that today's projects have not only further augmented the pace of development that has been going on for the last eight and a half years but have also made this day historic. He said that even before this, the inauguration and foundation stone of development projects across the state have been laid six times through digital means, due to which more than 1100 projects worth about Rs. 12,500 crore were gifted to the State, and if we add the cost of Rs, 2741 of these projects that have been inaugurated today, then total cost becomes Rs. 15,000 crore. Thus, inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of projects on such a large scale from one place digitally is a great example of e-governance, which has also saved time and money.
The Chief Minister said that Nuh district's biggest project is the Rainiwell-based drinking water scheme, benefiting the people of the Ferozepur Jhirka area. This project will prevent water shortages and improve infrastructure, as people previously had to even pay for getting drinking water during 'Roza'. The area even did not had enough water to meet their irrigation needs. However with the inauguration of this Rainiwell-based drinking water scheme, now people will no longer have to worry for water. The State Government has accelerated development throughout the state. Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi at the Centre and State Government has not left any sector behind in terms of development, he added.
Sh. Manohar Lal highlighted that the Nuh district has long been referred to as a backward district. The previous governments hardly did anything for the development of this district. However, as soon as our government came to power, we vowed to uphold the spirit of the Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek and promote uniform growth across all the districts, he added.
He said that when backward districts were identified across the country, the Nuh district of Haryana was also included in 110 districts. But in the last eight and a half years, so much development work has been done in the Nuh district. Now we cannot call this district a backward district for any reason. The Delhi-Mumbai corridor is passing from the Nuh district. Due to this corridor, industries will come up in this area, which will provide employment opportunities to the youth, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
We eliminated social evils like corruption, nepotism which used to prevail during the tenure of previous governments
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the difference between what used to happen during the time of previous governments and what is happening today under our tenure is clearly visible. There was corruption, and nepotism in the previous government, which our government has eliminated. Earlier the rights of the poor person were snatched. I assure you that now the injustice done to any poor person will not be tolerated, everyone will get justice and everyone will get their rights, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
"Our government has laid emphasis on six S (Shiksha, Swasthya, Suraksha, Swabhiman, swavalamban, and Sushasan)- Education, Health, Security, Self-respect, Self-reliance, and good governance. The law and order situation in Haryana is intact, every person considers himself safe and as a result of this, today the people of the world look towards Haryana to invest. Haryana has become their favourite investment destination".
He mentioned that in the last 8 and a half years, more than 1 lakh government jobs have been given in the state. A total of 35 lakh people of the state have got employment opportunities including these one lakh government jobs.
Congress leaders are misleading people by making false unemployment claims
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Congress leaders are spreading false propaganda in the name of unemployment. He has pointed out a magazine that shows 35 to 40 percent unemployment in Haryana. While the reality is that in any developing and developed state, 6-7 percent unemployment is there which is natural.
Congress during its tenure had promoted three Cs (Crime, Corruption, Caste Based Politics) but as soon as we came to power, our government improved these systems by cracking down on corruption and ending caste-based politics. Since corruption stopped, 30-40 percent more work has been done with the money which used to be spent on corruption.
"Caste politics is not going to benefit us, it will benefit those who do development work and work for the welfare of the people," he said. The state government has developed numerous portals and applications to enable people to access government schemes while sitting at home. While some leaders call us 'Portal ki Sarkar', however, the reality is that without more than 100 apps and portals, people won't be able to get the benefits of these schemes.
The Chief Minister said that some political leaders have got into the habit of giving freebies. "Our aim is to provide employment to the people. If people earn and eat, they will live an Atamnirbhar life. There is no benefit of getting anything for free.
CM appeals to the farmers to ensure registration of each acre of their land
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the State Government has also done many works for the welfare of the farmers. Till now, farmers used to get their crops registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal, for which they could get compensation for their damage or could sell it in the market. But many times some land was left vacant, which was not registered. People from nearby states like Rajasthan and Punjab had started selling crops here by showing registration on vacant land.
Chief Minister has appealed to the farmers to register every acre of their land. Even the vacant land must be registered. If the farmers register their land by July 31, they will be rewarded with Rs. 100. Not only this, the government has also thought of giving some big prizes like tractors, motorcycles and mobile etc. through lottery. Farmers should also register their land for the Rabi season.
Our government has given the highest compensation to farmers in the history of Haryana
He said that in the last 10 years of the government or earlier governments, since the formation of Haryana, our government has given maximum compensation to the farmers in the last 8.5 years. Apart from this, the state government has worked to provide 24-hour electricity to 5600 villages. Many governments came and gave slogans about providing 24-hour electricity but no one could cover more than 150 villages. It is expected that by the end of this year, all the 6200 villages will have 24-hour electricity.
He said that today Haryana is leading in the country and if we continue to work in this way with the cooperation of the people, with Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, then Haryana's name will shine bright on the world map.
Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, Administrator, Haryana Waqf Board, Zakir Hussain, former MLA, Sh. Naseem Ahmed and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
