Chandigarh, July 16: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the work done by Padma Shri awardee Seth Shri Kishandas for social service in his life is an inspiration for other politicians as well by doing good to the poor and needy, Seth Shri Kishandas Ji has shown that social service can also be a part of politics.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering after unveiling the statue of Padma Shri awardee Seth Shri Kishandas ji in Rohtak today.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that he feels lucky to unveil the statue of Padma Shri awardee Seth Shri Kishandas ji. He said Seth Shri Kishandas Ji began his political career in Rohtak in 1961. After his death, the demand for his statue was presented before then chief minister, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda in 2010 during the Congress tenure. However, he did not complete this work in four years, which could have been completed easily. But when the demand was placed before us, it was fulfilled.
Even today, the Congress has not been able to come out of dynastic politics
The Chief Minister added that when we came to power in 2014, we adopted the slogan: Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek and ensured holistic development of Haryana while rising above family and caste-based politics. But, even today, Congress has not been able to come out of dynastic politics.
"We respect everyone who walks with us, the only condition is that the country comes first, I come second, Surely, the atmosphere that is being created in the country today will be replicated in 2024, whether it is about the country or Haryana, in 2024 we have to take a pledge to make the lotus blooms again,” he said.
A happy society can be imagined only by bringing the unprivileged into the mainstream
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya gave Antyodaya Darshan. He said that if we do not worry about the poor and unprivileged sections of society, who have lagged behind for some reason, then a happy and progressive society cannot be imagined. He added that the Haryana government is constantly working towards the upliftment of the last mile citizen.
Rohtak to get Rs 77 crore worth development works on July 18
The Chief Minister said that on July 18 he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 16 projects in Rohtak, totaling Rs 77 crore. These include the foundation stone for the improvement of Rohtak's sewerage system, at a cost of Rs 10 crore, the inauguration of New ESWL Machine worth Rs 4 crore for kidney stone treatment, foundation stone of 33 KV sub station worth Rs 3 crore, and a Women-Child One Stop Centre costing Rs. 3.25 crore.
Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J P Dalal, MP, Sh. Arvind Sharma, Mayor, Sh. Manmohan Goyal, Mayor, Yamunanagar, Sh. Madan Chauhan and other dignitaries also remained present on this occasion.
