Chandigarh, June 16: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana is one such state in the country where development has been linked with the individual and it has been further strengthened by identifying the family with the individual.
In this, the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) has proved to be the most powerful document. With this, not only the Antyodaya families have been identified and linked to development schemes, but it has also been ensured that the benefits of these schemes are made available to them in a time-bound manner, he asserted.
The Chief Minister said that the priority of the state government is the welfare of the Antyodaya and taking this into account, the government through information technology, has developed such software through which the data of the entire state has been made available at one place.
“The Parivar Pehchan Patra is becoming an example not only in the state but also for the country and globally. While several states have taken the initiative to adopt PPP, at the same time the administration has got the facility to implement government schemes,” he added.
Now there is no need to go to the Sarpanch or BDO office for the old age pension. As soon as the person attains superannuation, his name is registered in the old age pension list and he starts getting pension from the next month, which goes directly to the beneficiary's account. This has eradicated the leakage of ineligible beneficiaries of various government schemes, with the eligible persons getting the benefits of the schemes automatically.
Not only this, there are dozens of services like caste certificate, PDS services which are now reaching the beneficiaries automatically. This has led to transparency in the functioning and the benefits of the schemes have also been ensured.
The Chief Minister said that several checks and barriers have been put in place to make the data fool proof so that no one can tamper with it. Security audit of this data is also being done from time to time. Apart from this, data updation is its continuous process. The Chief Minister said that from time to time the administration not only scrutinizes the data but also updates in case of any error.
He said that there are 68 lakh families in the state who have provided all the information related to their families, due to which the government was able to prepare the data of PPP. Due to this, the Antyodaya families have been identified, for whom the government has also made concrete arrangements to give benefits of the schemes.
The Chief Minister said that the central government worked to provide the benefits of the government schemes to the general public through Aadhaar card, but the Haryana government went a step ahead and prepared a report of data related to every family and citizen of the state.
The main identity of the PPP is not the individual but the family as a unit. Keeping this in mind, it was decided to create a unique ID for a family, whose positive results are being seen on the ground today. It is the endeavour of the government that the implementation of the schemes should be done on the ground in a transparent manner for the welfare and upliftment of the Antyodaya families.
