Chandigarh, April 30- The 100th episode of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme, which has become a fine example of 'Unity in Diversity' today became a special for the entire Haryana, when the Prime Minister specially mentioned the efforts of two Haryanvis.
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal along with the general public today also listened to the 100th episode in a programme held at Panchkula.
Addressing the people after attending the programme, the Chief Minister said that the Mann Ki Baat programme embodies the concept of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Making best use of technology, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has done the work of uniting the countrymen in the thread of unity by addressing the citizens of the entire India from one place. He has also given a new direction to the people, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that since October 3, 2014, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has been addressing the citizens of India on national issues through the Mann Ki Baat.
"When this programme started, no one imagined it would become so popular. The way citizens of India are participating in this programme since its launch has become a world record," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister called upon the people that whatever new direction the Prime Minister shows to society in the Mann Ki Baat programme, they should follow it and also inspire the people around them.
It is a matter of pride for us that two of our citizens have got special mention by the Prime Minister
The Chief Minister said it is a matter of pride for entire Haryana that in today's episode, the Prime Minister lauded the efforts of Sunil Jaglan, a resident of Bibipur village in Jind district and Pradeep Sangwan, a resident of Charkhi Dadri. The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of both the citizens, which would not only inspire the Haryanvis but also the people of other states as well.
With development works, we have also worked for public awareness
The Chief Minister said that the work of the government should not be limited only to development, but it should also work for public awareness. This Mann Ki Baat programme has been started in this direction and every episode has inspired citizens to do something new for the society.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that several times in the Mann Ki Baat programme, the Prime Minister had mentioned the new initiatives taken in Haryana. The Prime Minister mentioned the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, cleanliness drive started by the youth of Dulheri village in Bhiwani district, Sarai constructed by a social organization in AIIMS in Badsa, etc. Even before this, the Prime Minister has praised our sportspersons and progressive farmers in many episodes.
More than 10 lakh people listened Mann Ki Baat programme in Haryana
The Chief Minister said that today mass programmes have been organized at 100 places in every assembly constituency to listen to this special 100th episode. Thus, more than 10 lakh people listened Maan ki Baat Programme today across Haryana, which highlights their emotional connection with this programme.
Inspired by Prime Minister, we have taken several steps for public welfare
Talking to the media after the programme, the Chief Minister said that taking inspiration from the Prime Minister, the Haryana government has also taken several steps for public welfare. Taking inspiration from the system in which ration was delivered door to door under the leadership of the Prime Minister during the Pandemic, the Haryana government too has made a Parivar Pehchan Patra for the welfare of the poor and needy.
“Rising above politics, if a programme is started, then people get connected with it and definitely the campaigns are successful. Today in Haryana more than 10 lakh people listened to this programme of the Prime Minister, while across the country more than 3 crore people listened to this programme. The viewership of all the episodes so far has been more than 100 crores,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
