Chandigarh, April 8- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government has successfully implemented Zero Drop Out policy to ensure continuity in education of every child residing in the state. No child in the state remains out of school till next year is the prime objective of this policy. Taking this initiative ahead, about 48 lakh children in the age group of 6 to 18 years are being tracked to know the status of their education.
The Chief Minister said this while addressing the students, parents and teachers at the inaugural ceremony of Satya School in Sector 49, Gurugram today.
After inaugurating the school, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed building of the school and also inquired about the creative talent among the students by visiting different classes and labs. He also told the students about the inspirational personalities and also asked questions.
New National Education Policy will be implemented in Haryana by 2025
Referring to the Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India (PM-SHRI) scheme launched by the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister further said that under this scheme, two schools in all the 135 blocks of the state i.e a total of 270 PM- SHRI schools will be opened. Education will be imparted according to the National Education Policy in these schools. The government has set a target to implement National Education Policy across the country by 2030 but in Haryana it will be fully implemented by 2025.
Commendable efforts made by the country to tackle Corona crisis
Citing the example of the Covid crisis, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister. Sh. Narendra Modi accepted the COVID-19 period as a challenge and Indian scientists have proved their talent by preparing two vaccines in a short time to overcome the situation of arising Covid cases. With this initiative, India has proved its capability in helping other countries by providing vaccination.
5.5 lakh digital tablets given to children studying in government schools
Referring to the education system of the 21st century, he said that things change with time. Haryana too has yielded positive results in the last more than eight years by adopting advancement in education, health, security, self-reliance and self-respect, good governance. For the first time in the country, 5.5 lakh digital tablets were distributed to the students of classes X to XII to connect the children of government schools with technology. On the other hand, education is being imparted through smart classrooms in government schools of Haryana today.
Along with studies in the cluster scheme, attention will also be given to skill development
Referring to another important cluster scheme to develop the system of education in Haryana, he said that a cluster has been formed in every four-five villages of the state. In this formed cluster, three faculties-Arts, Science and Commerce will impart special skills to the students in Senior Secondary School which will generate self-employment opportunities for students.
Similarly, 150 new buses have also been purchased under Chhatraa Parivahan Suraksha Yojna (safe transport scheme) to safely ferry girl students to their schools or colleges and one nodal officer has also been appointed in each institution for the transportation of girl students, the Chief Minister added.
The Chief Minister also appreciated the Bharti Foundation for providing free education in 40 schools of the state. Chairman of Satya School, Sh. Rakesh Bharti Mittal welcomed the Chief Minister on his arrival at the institute and appreciated the various programmes and schemes of the Haryana Government. He felicitated the Chief Minister by presenting a shawl and a memento. The Chief Minister inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Commissioner of Police, Ms. Kala Ramachandran and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
