Chandigarh, March 24 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while interacting with the seventh batch of Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates (CMGGA) asked them to think of innovative ideas so as to ensure streamlined implementation of the state government’s flagship programmes at the grass root levels.
"Every CMGGA should focus on introducing some innovative project targeted to address every issue pertinent to the district assigned to them," said Sh. Manohar Lal during the interaction programme held late evening on Friday at Haryana Niwas.
The Chief Minister also inquired from the CMGGA about their experience and also guided them about their role in bringing palpable and visible impact on ground.
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Project Director, CMGGA Programme, Dr. Amit Agrawal also remained present on this occasion.
"The work done by every CMGGA will be reviewed every three months. During this, feedback would be taken from them as to what is required to bring required system changes for uninterrupted and transparent flow of benefits of public centric schemes to those at the bottom of the pyramid," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He advised the CMGGAs to frequently visit the field so as to develop better communication not only with the common man but also with the public representatives who also work for the welfare of society.
In the automobile sector, 50 percent of the country's manufacturing is from Haryana only
The Chief Minister said that in the automobile sector, 50 percent of the country's manufacturing is being done in Haryana only, due to which new companies in the service sector have been set up in the industrial sector and revenue has also increased.
"Haryana is leading in terms of per capita income. Efforts are being made to provide opportunities for increasing sales abroad to promote vegetables, fruits and other agricultural products," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Decision taken to link women belonging to unprivileged section with SHG
The Chief Minister said that while ensuring the welfare of every Antyodaya, the State Government has decided to associate the women belonging to unprivileged sections with the Self Help Groups (SGH) so that they too can get some financial stability.
He said that 50,000 SHGs have been formed to make women self-reliant, and efforts are being made to provide loans and marketing facilities to SHGs.
"To give fair and transparent chances to every aspiring candidate, Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C has been held. Under this system, the candidate has to pay only one time registration fee for appearing in the competitive examinations," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that special focus has been laid on Skilling of the Youth. For this, courses have been started in Shri Vishwakarma Skill University at Palwal.
"Haryana is shining bright in every field be it sports, armed forces, the State youth have brought laurels for the state at both National and International levels," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
CM Window proving a boon
The Chief Minister said that about 12 lakh grievances have been solved through the CM Window programme.
"BPL cards of 12 lakh new families have been automatically made through PPP. Besides this, meticulous implementation of many schemes like online transfer policy, Saral portal, SVAMITVA scheme, Auto Appeal System, and Drone Technology have ensured by introducing good governance reforms," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Project Director, CMGGA Programme, Dr. Amit Agrawal said that in the year 2016, CMGGA was started for developing a strategic collaboration between the Government and young individuals (CMGGAs).
"Since then, every year every CMGGAs not only get a golden opportunity to work closely with the Chief Minister's Office but also play an instrumental role in ensuring transparency and efficiency in public service delivery across the state," said Dr. Amit Agrawal.
He said that from past seven years, the CMGGAs worked dedicatedly on several major initiatives of the State Government including agriculture, poverty alleviation, e-governance, education and service delivery.
"They also play a pivotal role in improving governance. This year, 24 young professionals from across the country have been selected to work with the Chief Minister's Office and the Government of Haryana", shared Dr. Amit Agrawal.
He further informed that around 2500 youths from all over India applied out of which 25 CMGGAs were selected. These include 14 men and 11 women.
"Contribution of every CMGGA in realising Chief Minister's maximum governance, minimum government would be invaluable. Their work would strengthen the efforts of the government towards making Haryana a model state in terms of development and good governance," said Dr. Amit Agrawal.
Founder Ashoka University, Sh. Vineet Gupta, and Suman Kaul also remained present on this occasion. Besides this, Rakesh Mukhija, Ravi Pahuja from Hero Motocorp, Abhijit from Kotak Mahindra and Tarun Anthony from Cisco attended the meeting virtually.
