Chandigarh, March 24: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal's effort to bring transparency in development works and its allotment to the contractors got success today as the high-powered committee headed by the Chief Minister saved Rs 2.61 crore in work allocation of seven tenders of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) in NCR.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Chairman, HSIIDC, Sh. V. Umashankar, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Director General, Supplies and Disposals, Sh. Mohammed Shayin and Managing Director, HSIIDC, Sh. Vikas Gupta remained present during the meeting.
It was apprised in the meeting that at the time of issuing tender notice, the total amount of Detailed Notice Inviting Tender (DNIT) was Rs 227.76 crore and in the talks held with the contractors under the chairmanship of Managing Director, HSIIDC; tenders worth Rs 207.43 crore were agreed upon.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister today interacted with the contractors and bids amounting to Rs 204.82 crore for different projects were finalised. The projects include development of infrastructure facilities like roads, water supply, wastewater conveyance system, recirculation system of treated wastewater, storm water drainage system, street lighting etc, at IMT Sohna, Electronic Manufacturing Cluster. The work was awarded to M/s Jain Construction for Rs 122.99 crore.
Similarly, the work of upgradation of roads in Industrial Estate, Rai, Phase-II, Sonipat was allotted to M/s Ajit Construction for Rs 12.15 crore. The work of upgradation of roads in Phase-II at IMT, Bawal, was awarded to contractor Narender Singh for Rs 8.95 crore. M/s Ajit Construction was allotted the work of upgradation of roads in Industrial Estate, Barhi for Rs 8.29 crore.
In IMT, Bawal, the work of developing infrastructure facilities like roads, water supply, wastewater collection system and storm water drainage system, was allotted to M/s Dharampal and Company for Rs 9.86 crore. The work related to Artificial Intelligence based toll system on KMP Expressway was awarded to M/s VaaaN Infra Pvt. Ltd for Rs 31 crore. Similarly, the work of re-carpeting of Manesar-Palwal section of KMP Expressway was awarded to M/s Dharampal and company for Rs. 11.60 crore.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to upload the Haryana Schedule of Rates (HSR) in the public domain on the portal to provide information about the development works. Apart from this, all the L-1 as well as contractors with bid less than 5 percent should be called before the High-Powered Committee; to assure them about the transparency being followed in the allotment of work.
