Chandigarh, March 22: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal expressed gratitude to all the MLAs, officers, employees of the Vidhan Sabha and other departments and the mediapersons for giving meaningful cooperation in the proceedings of the Vidhan Sabha; on the last day of the budget session, which began on February 20.
Addressing the mediapersons, the Chief Minister said that there were a total of 8 seatings of the Vidhan Sabha and for 45 hours, all the MLAs presented their respective problems, demands and suggestions. Also, suggestions were sought from the MLAs and other stakeholders before the budget session. He said that out of 700 suggestions, 68 suggestions have been included in the budget. “Now the new financial year will start from April 1 and the new schemes announced in the budget will be implemented,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that this is the 9th budget of the present government; out of which he has presented four budgets as the Finance Minister. He said that after the year 2004, the budget of the year 2023-24 is dominant on all the budgets and it will live up to the expectations of the people of the state.
On the occasion, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Dr. Amit Agrawal, ADGP (CID), Sh. Alok Mittal and OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Jawahar Yadav were also present.
