Chandigarh, February 28- Taking strict cognizance of the negligence in work shown by two officers of the civic bodies, Haryana Chief Minister ordered suspension with immediate effect.

Sh. Manohar Lal while presiding over a review meeting of Nagar Darshan Portal held here today issued an immediate suspension of Gaurav Gulia, Junior Engineer, Municipal Corporation, Sonipat and Lalit Goel,  Secretary, Municipal Committee, Julana, because of the laxity shown in the work assigned to them. Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta also remained present in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also took a detailed review of the development work demands raised by the citizens related to ULB  on the Nagar Darshan portal. During this, both officers were guilty of showing laxity in the execution of their responsibilities.

"Providing timely facilities to the common man as well as ensuring that all development works are done within the stipulated time frame is the utmost priority of the State Government. Any kind of negligence by any officers and employees will not be tolerated at any level. It is the moral responsibility of government officers and employees to discharge their duties honestly," said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister,  Sh. V. Umashankar, Director, Urban Local Bodies Department,  Sh. D.K. Behera and other officers also remained present in the meeting.
