Chandigarh, February 27- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal stated that the state government is emphasising on promoting quality education, healthcare and social security in Haryana as well as providing a boost to the spirit of self-reliance amongst the people of the state with the vision to ensure good governance.
The Chief Minister said this while interacting to media at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi today. He said that our government is continuously laying emphasis on development and in this direction, we are moving forward with the spirit of Antyodaya. He said that the state is scaling new heights through inclusive development.
New budget provisions will be put into action from April 1, 2023 – Chief Minister
He said that 80 percent of the works announced during the budget last year have been completed and the new budget provisions will be put into action from April 1, 2023. He said that we faced the challenge of COVID-19 and we strenuously worked hard to convert these challenges into opportunity by providing facilities through the use of technology. The Chief Minister said that we have effectively implemented the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme and now the government is directly reaching out to the families which need assistance and other facilities.
The Chief Minister said that 12 lakh new ration cards have been made while ration cards of 9 lakh ghost beneficiaries have been removed.
"Haryana government is the first government which is procuring 14 crops on MSP and similarly Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana has been implemented to ensure purchase of farmers' produce", he said.
On the issue of water, the Chief Minister said that we are closely monitoring the depleting ground water issue and adequately taking measures to resolve it. He added that subsidy is being given under micro-irrigation as the ground water in Haryana has gone down by 10 meters from 2011 to 2022. He further stated that we have effectively implemented the 'Mera Pani-Meri Virasat' scheme which is drawing stellar results. He said that in order to take forward the cooperative sector, our government has set up a Cooperative Export House, under which basmati rice worth Rs. 1000 crores have been exported.
Repair, construction work of 5000 km roads will commenced after March 15 – Chief Minister
The Chief Minister said that we have made a provision of Rs. 2,200 crores for the repair, construction of 5,000 km of roads to be commenced after March 15. In order to increase medical facilities in the state, 11 new medical colleges will be opened in the coming time, for which a provision of Rs. 10,000 crores have been made.
Mewat topped among Aspirational Districts
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Mewat is an aspirational district of Haryana which has secured the top position among the aspirational districts in terms of development. He said that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is passing through Nuh district, which will give new wings to the development of the region.
No new tax imposed in the state budget, Haryana number one in GST collection
The Chief Minister, who is also the Finance Minister of the state, said that our state's GST collection is outstanding compared to other states; hence no additional taxes have been added. He informed that Haryana is number one in GST collection among big states.
Talking about women empowerment, the Chief Minister said that the Haryana government is moving forward in the direction to ensure equal participation of women in Panchayati Raj.
