Worked to bring positive changes in system in last 8 years
The Chief Minister said that the present government has worked towards bringing a positive change in the system in the last 8 years. “While cracking the whip on corruption, the state government has worked on the principle of Antyodaya; by providing benefits of various schemes to the last mile person. Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) programme has been started by the state government, in which the family has been considered as a unit,” he added.
He said that the data of 68 lakh families of the state has been verified and foremost benefits of the schemes will be given to the low income group families after their identification. “Concerned about the poor families, the state government has increased the income limit of BPL families from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh annually. As a result, the number of BPL families has increased to about 29 lakhs and the benefits of various schemes will be given to these families,” said the Chief Minister. He said that a separate category of 6 to 18 years has been made in the Parivar Pehchan Patra; through which every child falling in this age group is tracked to ensure that no child is deprived of going to school.

Laying special emphasis on higher education of the girls, the Chief Minister said that 71 new colleges have been opened across the state, among which more than 30 are women colleges. “Women or co-ed colleges have been opened within every 20 km radius; so that our daughters do not have to travel more than 10 kms,” he asserted.
He further said mapping is being done on the remaining 8 to 10 places, where colleges are to be opened. “To meet the demand of teachers in schools and colleges, the Haryana Public Service Commission has started the recruitment process of 7,000 professors and PGT teachers; which will be completed soon,” he added.
Working with the spirit of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’, uniform development in the state has been ensured
Taking a dig, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in the previous governments, there was discrimination in development by the Chief Ministers and priority was only given to the development of their districts. “But, working on the goal of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’, we have ensured uniform development of the state. Outdoing this, we have got more development done in those areas which were lagging behind in terms of development due to some reasons,” he added.
