Chandigarh, February 3– Haryana Chief Minister while participating as the Chief Guest in the state-level function organized at Narwana in district Jind on the occasion of the 646th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas ji made several pivotal announcements, reiterating his commitment to Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek. Notably, for the first time, three state-level functions were organized today to mark the celebrations of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas at Jind, Yamunanagar and Gurugram.
While making one of the major announcements for the SC Community employees working with the State Government, the Chief Minister announced that all such employees will get a reservation in promotion. For this, quota will be fixed within 3 months after identifying all the cadres.
The Chief Minister further announced that the medical college to be built in Rasulpur village of district Fatehabad would be named after Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidas ji. Besides this, a chair will be established in Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa in the name of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji for conducting research on his ideas, and teachings, he announced.
The Chief Minister said that the land has been identified for building a memorial near Pipli, Kurukshetra in the name of Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji, on which a big memorial will be built in his name. A hostel and school will also be built.
SC Community to get 20 percent discount on land purchase for setting up industry
Announcing huge assistance to the families belonging to scheduled castes who wish to set up industries, Sh. Manohar Lal said that now 20 percent discount will be given on the purchase of land for setting up small and micro industries. Notably, till now a 10 percent discount is given. Apart from this, the persons belonging to the SC community will also get additional interest subvention of 20 percent on the loan taken for doing business, announced the Chief Minister.
He said that the people of the society should also cooperate in opening a unit of Dr. Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce in Haryana as well.
A Venture Capital Fund would be created to provide financial assistance on behalf of the State Government
“A Venture Capital Fund would be created to provide financial assistance on behalf of the State Government so as to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the youth belonging to Scheduled Castes,” announced Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that about 32 percent of children belonging to Scheduled Castes are getting an education today. This percentage clearly shows that society is certainly moving towards progress. Free coaching will be provided to these children to pursue higher education and prepare for competitive exams, announced the Chief Minister.
Sh. Manohar Lal also announced Rs. 21 lakh for the renovation of Sant Ravidas Dharamshala in Narwana. He said that all the demands regarding repair of chaupals and dharamshalas etc. that would be received by March 31 would be completed. For this, a provision of Rs. 1 crore has been made, he said.
In the Union Budget, a provision has been made to open libraries in villages. We too are laying emphasis on setting up libraries in villages. The villages from where a demand to open libraries would be raised, the same would be fulfilled at the earliest, said the Chief Minister.
He said that along with physical development, the state government also has the task of bringing social harmony. For this, everyone should move forward without discrimination and this can become possible only when each one of us will follow the teachings of saints and great men.
“To spread the teachings and the message of communal harmony, the State Government has implemented 'Sant-Mahapurush Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana. Under this scheme, the birth anniversaries of all the saints and great men are being celebrated at the state level,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that Antyodaya families are also being given priority in jobs being given through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. Of the total applicants who have got jobs through this Nigam, around 41 percent belong to Scheduled Caste.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the Central Government has launched Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to provide a roof over the heads of every underprivileged and needy.
“So far, 55,000 families have been given houses under this scheme in Haryana. Now the state government is conducting surveys of families with annual income up to Rs 1.80 lakh. Complete assistance will be given to all such families to construct houses,” shared Sh. Manohar Lal.
Jind gets 7 developmental projects worth Rs 29 crore
The Chief Minister gifted 7 developmental projects worth Rs 29 crore to Jind residents. These include 5 inaugurations and 2 foundation stones.
Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, MP, Rajya Sabha, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, MP (LS), Smt. Sunita Duggal, MLAs Sh. Ram Niwas Surjakhera, Dr. Krishan Middha, Sh. Vinod Bhayana, Chairman, Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Sh. Subhash Barala, Political Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Krishan Bedi, Chairman, SC Commission, Prof. Ravinder Baliyala, Former Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu and saints also remained present on this occasion.
