Chandigarh, January 29: In the last 8 years, there has been a rapid development in Haryana under the able leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, said Union Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah; while telephonically addressing the gathering at the ‘Jan Utthan Rally’ organized at Sonipat’s Gohana on Sunday. Due to inclement weather conditions, the Union Home Minister could not reach Gohana.
Appreciating the development works being done by the state government, Sh. Amit Shah said, “The speed at which development has taken place in Haryana in the last 8 years, it did not happen during the tenure of the previous governments. Corruption has been reduced in every field, the law and order has been strengthened and casteism has ended. Now youth are getting government jobs in a transparent manner. Also, educated sarpanches are now taking Haryana forward.”
On the occasion, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal, Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal and Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta were also present.
The Union Home Minister further said that the purpose of today's rally is that in 2024, the people of Haryana again vote to make Sh. Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister by blowing lotus on all seats. “I am confident that lotus will bloom in all Haryana Lok Sabha seats,” he added.
Public welfare resolutions fulfilled in 8 years: Manohar Lal
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the guidance of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah; the government was formed in Haryana in 2014 and since then the resolutions taken for public welfare are being implemented. “Before 2014, there was an environment of fear and corruption in Haryana; which was removed by our government. Several welfare schemes have been implemented for the poor and needy by working to change the system,” he added.
Taking a dig, the Chief Minister said that the previous governments used to claim to provide benefits till the last person, but in reality did not deliver. "Our government started the system of delivering the benefits of welfare schemes to each person," he said, adding that the double engine government of the centre and the state is serving the people of Haryana.
Uniform development of entire state on mantra of ‘Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek’
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi had given the slogan of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’. Similarly, following the mantra of ‘Haryana Ek - Haryanvi Ek’, we have ensured uniform development of the entire state. “Our government did not discriminate against any region. An amount of Rs 5 crore each has been given to every MLA, whether it is from the ruling party or the opposition; for the development of their respective areas,” he added. Apart from this, the Panchayati Raj Institutions have been given more powers to get development works done in their areas.
“Taking the resolution of good governance, the state government has provided benefits of all the schemes and services to the public in a transparent manner while sitting at home,” said the Chief Minister.
Corrupt become unemployed, that is why opposition sees more unemployment
Taking a jibe at the Congress, the Chief Minister said a ‘BBC’ government used to run during the tenure of the Congress i.e., ‘Badli, Bharti and CLU’. The state government stopped this ‘BBC’ practice and made unique experiments for the people to get good governance, he said. “The opposition says that unemployment has increased in the state, but the reality is that those who used to do corruption have become unemployed today. Due to this, the opposition gets an increased figure of unemployment,” he added.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the farmers are getting all the benefits through the ‘Meri Fasal, Mera Byora’ portal. He said that 14 crops are bought on MSP in the state and thousands of crores of rupees have been sent directly in the accounts of the farmers through DBT for their crop prices. Apart from this, the government has worked on water management and ‘Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana’ has been implemented.
Antyodaya aims at economic upliftment of families
The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of the present state government, many industrial units have come up in the state. About 8.50 lakh people have got private employment and about 1 lakh people have been given regular government jobs. Also, the people have been provided employment through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. "The effort of the state government is to make the income of Antyodaya families up to Rs.1.80 lakh,” he asserted.
He further said that the state government has made arrangements to provide all kinds of facilities to the needy along with economic upliftment through Parivar Pehchan Patra. “Taking forward the Ayushman Bharat scheme through PPP, the state government increased the income limit of Antyodaya families from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh; due to which now 29 lakh families of the state are being covered under this scheme and are getting the facility of treatment up to Rs.5 lakh,” said the Chief Minister.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that ‘Outstanding Sports Person Policy’ has been made for the sportspersons who have performed remarkably in the sports field and 550 posts have been created to give jobs to the sportspersons. Also, the 3 percent quota for sportspersons in Group C posts has been restored.
Teachings of saints, great men still relevant to society
The Chief Minister said that the teachings of the saints and great men are equally relevant for society even today. “The state government has started ‘Sant Mahapurush Samman Evam Vichar Prachar Prasar Yojana’, under which birth anniversaries of all saints and great men are being celebrated officially," he said, adding that educational and other institutions have also been named after saints and great men, so that future generations can also be inspired by their teachings.
On the occasion, MPs, Sh. Ramesh Kaushik, Sanjay Bhatia, Arvind Sharma, Krishan Panwar, BJP State President, Sh. OP Dhankar, MLAs Sh. Mohan Lal Badoli, Sh. Nirmal Chaudhary and Sh. Krishan Lal Middha were present along with other dignitaries.
