Chandigarh, December 26 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government had never announced the release of Rs 15 crore to the municipal bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions. If any institutions still need financially help then the state government certainly provided all possible help to them, he added.
The Chief Minister was speaking during the first day of the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha while responding to a question raised by MLA, Sh. Bishan Lal regarding the release of funds to the financially weak municipal committees.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the funds of the Central Finance Commission and State Finance Commission are provided to the Municipal Committees from time to time. These committees also have self-income, if any institution remains financially weak after spending all these funds, then the state government helps it as per the requirement, he added.
The Chief Minister said that at present, Radaur municipality still has an amount pending allocated by the Central Finance Commission and State Finance Commission. The municipality has a total balance of Rs 4 crore. First, this amount should be spent, after that, the state government will consider their demand if there is a need.
