Chandigarh, December 26: After reading the obituary on the first day of the winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, the Leader of the House and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal paid tribute to the martyrdom of Veer Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, the Sahibzaadas of Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji with a self-composed poem.
Citing his poem, the Chief Minister said, “Guru Gobind Singh ke bache, umar mein the agar kache; magar the Singh ke bache, dharam-imaan ke sache…Garj kar bole the yun, Singh muh khol uthe the yun; nahi hum jhuk nahi sakte, kahin ruk nahi sakte.. Kahin parvat jhuke bhi hain, kabhi dariya ruke bhi hain.., nahi rukti hai rawaangi, nahi kabhi jhukti jawaani hai.. Zorawar jor se bola, Fateh Singh chhor se bola, Rakho inntein, bharo gaare.. chhino deewar hathiyare, Nikalti saans bolegi, humari laash bolegi, Yahi deewar bolegi, hazaron baar bolegi..”
The Chief Minister apprised the House that the Prime Minister had announced last year to celebrate December 26 as 'Veer Bal Diwas'. Going ahead with this, we are paying tribute to those brave child martyrs in the assembly session, he said. Two of the four children of Shri Guru Gobind Singh were already martyred for protection of religion. When Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh were bricked alive, both of them raised the slogans to protect the religion.
