Chandigarh, December 20- It was in the year 2016, when Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal had started a special tradition of giving the message of social harmony after the State celebrated Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti on the State level in Kaithal.
This new tradition was started by Sh. Manohar Lal has strengthened unity and brotherhood in the society, and the way Manohar Lal led Government has remembered and celebrating the teachings and glorious lives of saints and great men by organizing state-level programmes has not been done by anyone else.
The Chief Minister firmly believes that the sole purpose of celebrating these programmes at the state level is to remember and honour the lives of the saints and great men who have made the greatest contribution to the new development of society.
Lately, for the first time in Karnal, the state-level event of Lord Parshuram Mahakumbh was organized. In this series, on Tuesday, a state-level function was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Shoorsaini on the premises of Saini Senior Secondary School in Hisar.
The Chief Minister, who was the Chief Guest of this programme joined the ceremony through the virtual medium from Chandigarh and gave the message of social harmony to the people present at the main programme venue.
Ensuring everyone's welfare is the mool mantra of the present government
The Chief Minister believes that building a civilized society is possible only with the cooperation of the entire society and to ensure the same, he has been working in the state for the last 8 years with the resolution of Sarvajan Hitaya Sarvajan Sukhaya.
Intending to bring the society together, the state government has launched a Sant Mahapurush Samman Evam Vichar Prachar Prasar Yojana separately to organize programmes at the government level in honour and memory of all the saints.
Under this scheme, many programmes have been organized across the state so far. Today's function organized on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Shoorsaini was also organized under the same plan of the State Government. Such programmes aim to remember the saints and great men and to share the work done by them in the interest of society, especially with the young generation.
People enthusiastically participated in the programme
Apart from the Saini community, people from other communities also enthusiastically attended the programme in large numbers.
Folk artist narrated the history of Maharaja Shoorsaini and the saga of his valour through songs.
Notably, ever since the government has taken the initiative to officially celebrate the birth anniversaries and memorial days of saints and great men, people from all walks of life have worked to unite society by participating in these programmes. This initiative of the government can also be called an initiative to inspire the youth and take them forward in a positive direction because the teachings of great men give a positive message to the youth.
