Chandigarh, November 21- Haryana Chief Minister said that in a democracy, people choose their representatives by entrusting their trust on them hence it becomes an utmost duty of every such representative to maintain this trust and live upto the expectations of the people of their area.
Sh. Manohar Lal was interacting with the newly elected Sarpanches and Panches in a programme organized in Manesar area of Gurugram district on Monday.
He said that the Sarpanch and Panch should ensure maximum development in their areas. In a democracy only one who lives up to the trust of the people gets a chance to serve the people. You have been chosen only because of the trust entrusted by Public, added Sh. Manohar Lal.
“Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi as Pradhan Sevak, while I as Jan Sevak are working for the welfare of every section of the society,” said the Chief Minister while wishing the newly appointed Panches and Sarpanches and teaching them good governance.
“Gone are the days, when only king’s son used to rule the society but now the time has changed. The one who will serve the society will get the opportunity,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Teaching good governance lesson to the newly elected Panchayat members, the Chief Minister said that it is the duty of the government and the Gram Panchayat to do justice to every section, every class and every person.
He said that just as the state government is ensuing holistic development of Haryana on the principle of Haryana Ek Haryanvi Ek and upholding this spirit only Panchayats should also work considering the entire village as one family. It should be ensured that the development money of the village is being used in the right manner.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the swearing-in ceremony of Panches and Sarpanches will be organized soon, after which all the Panchayats will duly start their work.
“This time we aim to also conduct training for the new Panches and Sarpanches by next month so as to make them familiar with the functioning of the government.
