Chandigarh, September 23- On the occasion of Haryana Veer and Martyr Day on the martyrdom of Amar Shaheed Rao Tularam, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal paid rich tributes to Shaheed Rao Tularam and all the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
In a message issued here today, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the supreme sacrifice made by these great martyrs for safeguarding the honour and pride of the country and the State would certainly remain a source of inspiration for the coming generations.
“Every year, September 23 is observed as Haryana Veer and Martyr Day on the martyrdom of Shaheed Rao Tularam to remember the significant contribution made by him in the Revolution of 1857. The great heroes of freedom, brave sons like him are the invaluable heritage of our country,” added Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that the country is celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence to instill patriotism among the youth by making them remember the glorious history of the country and the supreme sacrifice made by the brave sons and martyrs.
“Amar Shaheed Rao Tula Ram is not only the pride of Haryana but of the entire country. Following the path shown by such great personalities, the state government is moving ahead to ensure the development of the state along with ensuring the upliftment of the poorest of the poor, said the Chief Minister.
"We are always indebted to our soldiers who are bravely standing at the borders to protect the Nation. It is always because of them we feel safe today," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
