Chandigarh July 19: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Sh. Surender Singh, DSP of Haryana Police and announced martyr status for him. He said that Sh. Surender Singh has sacrificed his life while investigating an illegal mining case in Nuh district. Police posts will be set up near the mining area as well as posts will be made on the border with other states, he added.
The Chief Minister said that Sh. Surender Singh sacrificed his life while performing his duty with bravery and honesty. His sacrifice will always be remembered. The Chief Minister said that we are all proud of his conscientiousness and bravery.
The Chief Minister said that the dumper with which the DSP was killed today has been identified. The owner of the dumper is reported to be hiding nearby. Directions have been given to the police officers to nab the culprits at the earliest and ensure strict action. DGP and ADGP CID have also been directed to rush to the spot.
Expressing grief over the Nuh incident, the Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to eliminate mining mafia in the state. The culprits would not be spared at any cost, he added.
