Chandigarh, July 7– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the National Industrial Corridor Programme will help industrialization and logistics in the state, which will lead to economic progress not only of the state but of the country. A prosperous India is being built under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. With his vision, 11 industrial corridors are going to be built across the country. Haryana Government is committed to realize the dream of the Prime Minister, he added. Sh. Manohar Lal was speaking during video conferencing at the Apex Monitoring Authority meeting on Thursday. The meeting was presided over by the Union Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. Commerce and Industry Minister, Sh. Piyush Goyal and Railway Minister, Sh. Ashwini Vaishnav were also present in the meeting.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state has become a hub of industrialization because of NCR being in Haryana. Haryana has been the first choice of investors from the point of view of industry. The industries of Haryana have benefited a lot due to the proximity of Delhi airport. He said that it is a matter of pride for Haryana that two major corridors of the country – Western Economic Corridor and Eastern Economic Corridor which are being built will pass through Haryana.
During the video conferencing, the Chief Minister said that the proposed Integrated Multi Modal Logistics Hub at Nangal Chaudhary in Haryana is to be built on 886 acres. The work of road, water and electricity etc. related to this project has started. A target has been set to accomplish this and will be completed in due course. The award for the railway line attached to it has also been announced. The possession of 40 percent of the land has been given to the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India, the possession of the rest of the land will be taken by August 15.
Giving information about Industrial Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) Hisar, the Chief Minister said that 1,605 acres of land has been selected for this. The master plan of IMC, Hisar has also been prepared. Environment clearance will also be completed soon. This project is also progressing at a fast pace.
Chief Minister placed a demand for Inland Container Depot at Kalanaur, Yamunanagar
Sh. Manohar Lal has placed a demand for Inland Container Depot at Kalanaur in Yamunanagar district to the Union Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. He said that the Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor will pass through Haryana. If an inland container depot is built on this corridor, then not only will Haryana benefit from it but surrounding states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab will benefit from it as well.
In this meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation, Sh. Vikas Gupta, Director, Town & Country Planning, Sh. K.Makarand Pandurang and other senior officers were present.
