Chandigarh, June 15 – Upliftment of the poorest of the poor is the utmost priority of state government, said the Chief Minister while interacting with the people at Janta Darbar organized at his residence ‘Sant Kabir Kutir’ today.

In the Janata Darbar, the representatives of the nomadic tribes shared their issues before the Chief Minister and apprised him that the benefits of permanent housing facilities should also be made available to them.

Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that a 200 yards area, which is already in possession of the nomadic tribes would be given to them provided they have any valid certificate and they have been in possession of the land till March 31, 2000. Also, they will have to pay some amount to the State Government, he added.

Besides this, people of nomadic tribes identified through Parivar Pehchan Patra, whose income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh per annum, will also be given houses through the Housing for All Department, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

State Government is dedicatedly working for welfare of the poor

The Chief Minister said that the main objective of the present State Government is to uplift the poor families and bring them into the mainstream and to achieve this goal, the poorest families residing in the state who are having an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh have been identified through the ambitious initiative Parivar Pehchan Patra. Not only this, a unique scheme, Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana has also been implemented for ensuring economic upliftment of such families.

The Chief Minister said that till 70 years of independence, the previous governments never bothered to do the kind of welfare work for the poor that is being done today. 

Whether it is to provide housing to the poor, ration, or any other facility, we are giving benefits to all in a systematic manner with complete transparency. For this, Parivar Pehchan Patra, an ambitious initiative of the State Government has been started, through which welfare of the poorest of the state, irrespective of the caste, is being ensured. Upholding this spirit, all those having an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh are being covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

We are working on the moto of making people self reliant

The Chief Ministers said that State Government is working on the moto of making people self reliant and for this Antyodaya Melas are being organized under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana. So far around 2.5 lakh families have attended these Melas. Out of these, loans of  40,000 families have been sanctioned.

“Will not stop, till we achieve our aim of increasing the annual income of poor families’ upto Rs. 2 lakh,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that now no one has to make rounds of government offices to get their ration card made. As per their income slabs, Yellow, Khaki, Pink and Green cards of all the families are being generated automatically through the Parivar Pehchan Patra and they are getting the benefit of all government facilities while sitting at home.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that special attention will be given through the Common Service Centers for the redressal of the grievances of such citizens who are facing any document uploading related difficulty to take benefits of various schemes online. But now by focusing on the Common Service Centers redressal of all such grievances would also be ensured well in time, said the Chief Minister.

 

The representative of the Yogi Community also raised a demand before the Chief Minister and after giving a patient hearing, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a programme would be organized officially to mark the celebrations of the birth anniversary of Guru Gorakhnath said the Chief Minister.

A 5-member committee to address the problems of Bhakra Oustees

Representatives and members of the Bhakra Dam Oustees Association also shared their grievances about land, repair of Ring Dam, etc. before the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister directed the officers to constitute a 5-member committee consisting of two departmental officers and the Deputy Commissioners of Fatehabad, Sirsa, and Hisar districts. He also directed all the problems raised by the community members should be resolved within a six month.

Errors in Jamabandi should be checked and Jamabandi should be done again

Hansi area residents also raised a complaint regarding the mistakes made in the Jamabandi of Hansi area in the year 2017-18. On this, the Chief Minister directed the officers that thorough verification of all the mistakes should be done and new Jamabandis should be done again considering the year 2012-13 as a base.  Also, its draft should be published and claims and objections should be invited from the citizens, so that proper records are maintained, leaving no room for any error.

Stone crusher owners who came from Khanak, Bhiwani and Nagli, Yamunanagar shared their problems with the Chief Minister regarding the closure of stone crushers.

The Chief Minister apprised them that their problems have been resolved by the department. To operate the stone crushers, the department has now given relief by modifying the rules, so that the stone crushers will be restarted.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that although some relief has been given in the rules, still the prescribed norms have to be fulfilled so that the rules are not violated.  The stone crusher owners also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.

Besides this, the residents of Adampur, Hisar also shared their grievances regarding the enhancement of the houses allotted under LIG under Housing Board Colony. While directing the officers, the Chief Minister said that a solution should be found by formulating One Time Settlement Scheme and loan arrangements could also be made through banks so that the people would not be financially burdened.

Ankur Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department, Sh. Vineet Garg, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing for All Department, Sh.  Anil Malik, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, Sh. A K Singh, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister-II. Smt. Ashima Brar and other officers remained present.
