Chandigarh, June 3 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the strength of expert drivers will be expanded in Haryana Police which has been supplying police drivers to Haryana Dial-112, the flagship programme of the Haryana Government. During the meeting, Haryana Chief Minister directed the officers to recruit 1500 Drivers as SPOs (Special Police Officers) and 2000 SPOs (Ex-Servicemen Military and Paramilitary) in Haryana Police for smooth and effective working of Haryana Dial-112 programme.
Haryana Chief Minister said this while presiding over the meeting of the Standing Finance Committee of Haryana Dial-112 Emergency Response Support System (ERSS). During the meeting, it was apprised that the average response time of Dial-112 was around 15 minutes in May and has also gained 94.88 percent customer satisfaction in the last month which is the highest since its launch.
Haryana Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said in the meeting that people's faith has substantially grown in the Dial-112 project. He said that over the first 10 months since the launch, 43 lakh calls landed in the Call Centre out of which 5.5 lakh calls were required to dispatch the police vehicle to the spot. Around 17,600 calls are being attended on a daily basis at the Dial-112 Call Centre during May, 2022. Sh. Anil Vij further said that the Government is dedicated to resolving the public issues in minimum time.
During this meeting Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Additional Chief Secretary Finance, Sh. T.V.S.N. Prasad, Haryana DGP, Sh. Prashanta Kumar Agrawal, ADGP/Administration with addl. Charge of ADGP/Telecom IT, Sh. A.S. Chawla, Superintendent of Police, ERSS, Sh. Rajesh Kalia and Secretary, Finance-cum-Advisor, Smt. Sofia Dahiya were also present.
