Chandigarh, June 1 - The interest of the youth of Haryana in preparing for one of the most competitive and prestigious examination of civil services has increased rapidly. This can be gauged from the success of the dozens of the state youth who had appeared in the recently held Civil Services Examination.
Meanwhile, this time, along with the daughters of Haryana, sons too have made the state proud in this prestigious examination. Though geographically Haryana is a small state in the country, the increasing number of students clearing UPSC, JEE and NEET from Haryana shows that the tendency of fulfilling their dreams through education among the State youth is increasing.
Notably, all this has been possible only due to the policies of the Haryana Government under the able leadership and guidance of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal.
Revolutionary Policy changes have been made in the field of education by the State Government; in addition to this many new schemes have also been started, which have started showing positive results. The Department of Higher Education has started an initiative called 'Medhavi' to cater to the needs of distinguished students who aspire to pursue public services. Public service is one such sector that recruits skilled and capable candidates every year.
However, some capable students do not get a chance to apply for the opportunities due to the non-availability of suitable resources to study. For this, the Department of Higher Education has taken an initiative in association with Chetan Bharat Learning and Abhyudaya Communications Pvt Ltd, which will provide free coaching for exams like HCS.
Haryana students will get the necessary help through free study material streaming on YouTube and through the website. This initiative includes UPSC Civil Services, Engineering, State Government sponsored exams and Banking/SSC exams. Students will also be able to download the lectures directly from the website.
Besides this, dedicated efforts are being made by the Department of Higher Education to help UPSC aspirants and to provide them with efficient study material. The department is providing the candidates with magazines, current affairs, NCERT books and general knowledge material in one place.
Also, the Super-100 programme is being run by the State Government for brilliant students studying in government schools. The Super-100 programme being run by the Education Department is a unique effort to shape and secure the future of meritorious students.
Under this, free coaching is provided for IIT and NEET. The Super-100 programme launched by the Chief Minister is not only helping the promising students to achieve their dreams but has also raised a ray of hope among other deserving students that they too can fulfill their dreams. At the same time, the Chief Minister has announced that the children of families whose verified income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh per year under Parivar Pehchan Patra will get free education.
The government recently brought about a new revolution in the field of education by distributing tablets to the students of government schools as part of 'e-Adhigam' scheme. Under this, smart tablets were provided to 5 lakh children. With the help of tablets equipped with free internet and Personalized Adaptive Learning (PAL), students will not only crack their board exams with good marks but will also be able to prepare for NEET, JEE and other competitive exams. This will also help the students to get admission to a good college. Apart from studies, there are other skills that will be gained from this tablet.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal strongly believes that if someone has talent, then no one can stop them from fulfilling their dreams, even if one is from a rural background.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that when he took oath as the Chief Minister in 2014, ensuring holistic and equitable development of the state was his top priority. Many new unique schemes were made by the State Government which proved to be a milestone. Youth of the state is now making the State proud in the UPSC examination, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Haryana is moving ahead and is achieving new records. Be it in the field of education or sports, Haryana is shining bright in the country.
