Chandigarh, May 29 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the gathering at Pragati Rally in Gurugram today said that the present State Government strongly believes in making the youth self-reliant by providing employment opportunities to them.
“This is the reason we are working on stand-up policy, but some leaders are trying to mislead the public with their 'sitdown policy' and promising freebies for them. This Policy is very hazardous and people now understand the disadvantages of this Policy as nothing has been given to the people of Delhi and now Punjab,” he added.
During the rally, the Chief Minister also made announcements worth Rs. 2711 crore for various development works for the people of Gurugram. Notably, in terms of finance, today’s announcements are the biggest made during Rallies to date.
GMDA to execute various projects to the tune of Rs. 1275 crore
Resolving the water issue in Gurugram, the Chief Minister announced that GMDA would execute various projects costing Rs. 1275 crore. These include work of 200 MLD Waste Water Treatment Plant to be constructed at a cost of Rs 235 crore and sewerage system for Sectors - 77 to 80 and Sectors - 103 to 115 at a cost of Rs 965 crore. Apart from this, an amount of Rs 75 crore has also been announced to complete the work of the drainage network of Sectors 68 to 115 of Badshahpur.
Rs 3.60 crore approved for the construction of PHCs at Ghazipur and Pataudi
The Chief Minister also approved an amount of Rs. 3.60 crore each for the construction of PHCs at Ghazipur and Pataudi. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also announced Rs 4.42 crore for the construction of 10 borewells in 10 villages in Sohna Assembly Constituency, and the Pataudi area, installation of a water treatment plant at a cost of Rs 164 crore to resolve the drinking problem in 86 villages and 14 Dhanis.
Rs 458 crore approved for four Assembly Constituencies of Gurugram district
The Chief Minister also approved all the demands related to the Public Works Department in the four Assembly Constituencies of Gurugram district costing Rs. 458 crore. Besides this, an amount of Rs 200 crore has also been announced to Municipal Corporation, Gurugram for executing various works.
Sh. Manohar Lal also approved various works related to schools including upgradation and construction of new buildings. Besides this, he also announced sanctioning of Rs. 36 crore each for Mini Secretariat to be constructed at Sohna and Tauru.
The old bus stand in Gurugram will be built separately for city bus service on 5 acres of land and a new bus stand will be built on 15 acres of land in Sihi village, he added.
The Chief Minister also approved Rs. 68 crore for the construction of stadiums at Farukhnagar, Pataudi, Manesar and Badshahpur to promote sports.
800 electric vehicles would be procured for NCR
The Chief Minister announced that in the National Capital Region, except in those places where municipal elections are being held, 800 electric vehicles would be procured and replaced with existing petrol-diesel vehicles like public buses, three-wheelers, etc, announced the Chief Minister.
The state government has planned to regularize unauthorized colonies with prescribed norms. A list of 60 colonies has been prepared in the Gurugram district except for Sohna. After conducting the survey, the process of regularization will be completed according to the prescribed criteria, announced the Chief Minister.
5000 acres of land to be saved from water-logging
Sh. Manohar Lal said that thousands of acres of land of farmers got submerged due to Najafgarh Lake, leaving them upset and to overcome this problem, 90-92 acres of Panchayati land will be developed into the lake and after that, a dam will be built, which will secure 5000 acres of land.
Biggest global city on an area of 1008 acres to come up in Gurugram – Chief Minister
Gurugram has developed as an iconic city over the years. It is the economic capital of Haryana and due to the development of Gurugram over the years, today Gurugram has become a city of dreams for many.
He said that in the next 6 months, a global city will be built in Gurugram on 1008 acres, which will be the biggest global city.
Through Gram Darshan and Nagar Darshan, Work is being done while sitting at home
The Chief Minister said that now through the Gram Darshan and Nagar Darshan Portal, anyone can raise their problems related to their locality while sitting at home only. The problem would certainly be resolved by the concerned department. There is no need to make rounds of the offices and meet MLAs, everyone can raise their demands directly on these portals. All development works will be completed and whatever demand comes, will be fulfilled. There is no shortage of money, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Every district to have a Medical College
The Chief Minister said that an announcement has been made to open medical colleges in every district of the state. The land has also been identified for the construction of the Sheetla Mata Medical College, Gurugram district.
When our government came to power in 2014, there were 750 MBBS seats. With the opening of new medical colleges, now these seats have become 1600 and when more medical colleges will open in each district, then these seats will increase up to 2900. With this, there will be no shortage of doctors in the state. Simultaneously, the government has opened a girls' college within a radius of 20 km.
In the NITI Aayog report, Haryana bagged the first position in bringing educational reforms
The Chief Minister said that continuous improvement is being done in the field of education. In the latest report presented by NITI Aayog, Haryana has been placed first in bringing educational reforms. The state government has distributed tablets free of cost to 5 lakh students of classes X, XI and XII by spending Rs 650 crore. Haryana is the first state in the country to do so. The government is continuously opening Model Sanskriti Schools, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Dedicated work is done to promote the industry
Sh. Manohar Lal said that industrial clusters would be formed to promote employment and industries. The government has started the PADMA scheme for this. There will be clusters of 50 to 100 acres. This will provide employment to a large number of people, said the Chief Minister.
The government aims to increase the income of those at the bottom of the pyramid
The Chief Minister said that the government aims to increase the income of those at the bottom of the pyramid. For this, Mukhyamantri Parivar Utthan Yojana has been started. Under this, families with an income of less than Rs. 1 lakh are being given loans and training for self-employment. Antyodaya Melas are being organized for this.
