Chandigarh February 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, reached the residence of senior livestock scientist of Karnal, retired Dr. Motilal Madan who was honoured with Padma Shri award for his remarkable work in the field of science and engineering, and greeted him.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the achievement of Dr. Motilal Madan has made the country proud.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Motilal Madan holds a Gold Medal and completed PhD from abroad. He has served in various educational institutions including National Dairy Research Institute. Dr. Motilal Madan is also known for producing the world's first IVF Buffalo calf 'Pratham' in the field of animal science. Due to his research, the country is making a lot of progress in animal husbandry. Now his work has been honoured by the government.
Dr. Madan said that my award is dedicated to all the research scholars and I thank the government who honoured my research. He said that India is an agricultural country where agriculture and livestock is a major source of employment. In today's era, due to the advancement in the livestock sector through technology and scientific research, employment opportunities have increased in the animal husbandry sector.
